Livet Cottage close to the centre of Tomintoul in quiet
position a little village with a big heart, is the highest village in
the Highlands.
Set in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, it is the ideal holiday
centre, whether you just want to chill out and relax or get involved in
something more energetic.
It hosts its own Highland Games, with dancing, stalls and piping bands,
annually on the 3rd Saturday in July.

Livet Cottage is a self catering cottage that Sleeps 6 people.
The ground floor bedroom and bathroom make this an ideal venue for anyone
who has difficulties with stairs.
The traditional Scottish cottage has 2 double and 1 twin bedrooms (one
double is on the ground floor, as is the bathroom).

courts and horse riding
The surrounding scenery is stunning , with its mountains, forests and
meandering rivers, which cannot fail to take your breath away, with their
colours and form constantly changing in shifting light.
It is a wonderful place for walking, climbing, riding and fishing or for
just simply sitting and soaking up the splendour
Directions
Getting there from the Information Centre
From Tomintoul TIC turn right at the main road and Livet House will be
found about 250yards on the right and Livet Cottage is situated to the
rear down the lane.
Getting There by Car
From Grantown-on Spey take the A95 towards Elgin crossing the roundabout
then turn right onto the A939 signposted Tomintoul and Braemar.
Follow this road for 14miles.
On entering Tomintoul drive straight down the main street past the square
and car park.
Livet House will be found on the right next to Cairngorm Corner Stone
shop and opposite the junction signposted to Lecht and Braemar.
Livet Cottage is situated to the rear of Livet House down the adjacent
lane.
Getting There by Railway
From Aviemore station, take the A9 and then A95 to Grantown-on-Spey and
then follow the instructions as above, by car.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Inverness airport take the A96 towards Aberdeen and follow this road
to Nairn.
Turn right onto the A939 to Grantown-on-Spey and then follow the instructions
as above, by car.
