Lochranza
is situated in the heart of Speyside, within a small clachan surrounding
the ruin of Blairfindy Castle.
The cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard, with spacious
accommodation sleeping six, spread over two floors.
This former worker's cottage overlooking the world famous 'The Glenlivet'
whisky distillery, is an ideal base for exploring the 'Malt Whisky Trail',
the Deeside 'Castle Trail' or the 'Speyside Way' long distance walking
route.

The Property has recently been refurbished to a high standard and has
accommodation comprising one double and two twin bedrooms, a combined
lounge/dining room with a woodburner, one bathroom with bath & shower
and a well equipped modern kitchen.
There are views from most rooms to the surrounding countryside and access
to to a private garden at the rear of the property.
The first of the twin rooms comfortably sleeps 2.
The double room is on the first floor.
Our second twin room is situated on the ground floor offering easy access.
The bathroom has a shower and bath and is finished to a high standard.

The kitchen is finished to a very high standard and includes a washer
drier, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher.
The lounge/diner is very spacious and benefits from 2 sofas and 2 armchairs,
and seating for 6 round the dining table.
Activities
Located within the 'Glenlivet Crown Estate' and also the new 'Cairngorms
National Park' there is easy access to walking, cycling, fishing &
wildlife.
Walking the rolling hills in the area is a must do, the Glenlivet Estate
has miles of purpose made way posted walking, cycling and horse riding
routes.
Anything from 1 mile to 18 miles, you can even walk the old Whisky smuggling
trail over the ladder hills down the Well of Lecht.

Getting there from the Information Centre
In Grantown-On-Spey, turn left at the lights.
At the roundabout turn left onto the A95 following signs for Elgin.
Turn right at the B9008 in Ballindalloch.
Follow signs for "The Glenlivet Distillery".
From the Distillery, follow the road through and turn left at the telephone
box, at the end of the road the cottage is first on the right.
Getting There by Railway
The nearest rail stations are in Elgin and Aviemore both approx 40 minutes
by road.
Getting there by Aeroplane
The nearest airport(s) are Inverness and Aberdeen, both approx 1 hour
by road.
