The area is popular for walking, hill climbing, mountaineering (guides available), fishing (permits, river, sea, loch) shooting, sailing, wind surfing, golf (new local course and within driving distance of 20 courses, including Royal Dornoch 90 min's drive). Large quiet sandy beaches to north and south. Ardmair House AccommodationBuilt in the 19th Century Ardmair House has been modernized internally. Featuring central heating throughout it is suitable for two families or a group in 4 bedrooms, with basins, sleeping 10-12 people. The lounge has an open fire, TV and video and the kitchen is labour saving with a large pine table in the adjacent dining area. It is equipped with a double oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. There are 2 bathrooms and laundry. Although near shops and facilities the garden is secluded with outside eating area and, being enclosed, is suitable for children. Ullapool has a Sports Leisure Centre with swimming pool, games area, climbing wall, gum suite, outdoor tennis courts. . Ardmair House is ideally situated for walking, climbing, fishing, golf, tennis, shooting, sailing and excursions to the North and the Hebridean Islands. Excellent local restaurants provide speciality local seafood and beef. Michelin starred restaurants in Achiltibuie and Lochinver.
