Welcome - Fàilte! We are situated in the North West Highlands in the fishing village of Ullapool and offer a great base for anyone wishing to experience the village, the spectacular Highlands that surround us or to just sit on the sofa in front of the open fire with a dram. We have regular live music, theme nights and entertainment, including Monday Night local music sessions, Redtooth National Poker League, Quizzes, live folk/Americana music on Tuesday nights, a pool table and darts! The Argyll is a small hotel with a restaurant, lounge bar and the only public bar in Ullapool. The Argyll has a long history in the village, with a name for welcoming visitors and locals alike. We are placed one road back from the loch with a large private car park and with most of the guest rooms enjoying beautiful views across Loch Broom. Only a minute’s walk from the centre of the village, we aim to provide a friendly and entertaining place to stop in the Highlands with a well stocked bar, good quality, locally sourced food, lots of vegetarian options, a welcoming, sociable atmosphere and small but comfortable rooms. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel. Nigel and Franner. Accommodation We offer Bed and Breakfast as well as evening meals (seasonal availability) and have a range of different rooms including twin, double, triple and family. Most rooms have ensuite facilities, TV and some also have DVD. Most of our rooms also have beautiful views across Loch Broom. We are gradually augmenting our rooms and hope to undertake some redecorating
and re-carpeting for 2010. We are not a boutique or city centre hotel.
We are a small, cosy hotel in the Highlands. All rooms have bookcases
with a selection of books to peruse while you gaze out across the loch
and board games to play. Each room is different. Feel free to give us
a ring or send an email so we can help you decide which room would suit
you best. You are able to check in from 3pm although rooms are often available earlier than this. Please let us know if you need to access your room before this time. Check out time is 11am. Laundry Newspapers Luggage Toiletries Shoe Care Food We use only the finest ingredients including beef, venison and pork from our local butcher and fish landed daily right here in Ullapool! We have a large breakfast menu available to guests at the hotel, including a range of vegetarian options. Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 9.30am - we can arrange earlier packed breakfasts for you if you need to leave early, please notify the reception before 6pm the evening beforehand. Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day in the Summer with just dinner available at reduced hours or on request in the Winter. In addition we also have a selection of chef’s special dishes daily

We are also pleased to be able to provide fresh baked Chicago Town pizzas at any time the bar is open from lunchtime to last orders! These are available to take away with Four Cheese, Pepperoni, Chicken Supreme or Inferno Chilli Beef toppings for £7.95. We are sure that you will enjoy our food and the welcoming atmosphere. Please do come and sample what we have on offer. 2 Bars in One! The Public Bar, or ‘the Wee Bar’ as it is known, is a traditional
West coast bar and the only public bar in Ullapool. It has recently been
refurbished with comfy bar stools, a fine new cocktail menu and boasts
a large TV with Sky Sports. The open fire makes the atmosphere warm and
welcoming and it is common to find a game of dominos or darts being held
on a winter evening. Drink We also have Tennants and Staropramen, McEwan’s Export, Strongbow, Belhaven Best and Guinness and at least two real ales at any time – one from the local brewery The An Teallach Ale Co. The ales change on a weekly basis but we would be happy to let you know what’s on the way if you phone ahead! We have a very reasonably priced cocktail menu as well as a wide selection of draught and bottled beers, lots of cider including Scrumpy and Old Rosie ciders on tap and the widest selection of spirits this side of Inverness. |
