Directions
Getting there from the Information Centre
Take the A714 to Wigtown and upon arriving at the central area of the
town turn right, and 300 yards later turn left at the Corner Bookshop.
About 300 yards down you come to a cross roads, turn left again into Station
road and we are about 300 yards down on the right.
There is a bus service that operates from the square by the TIC, with
very regular local services to Wigtown, and express services to Dumfries,
Ayr, Glasgow and Stranraer.
Getting There by Car
Use the A75 Gretna to Dumfries road until you arrive at the Newton Stewart
roundabout, take the A714 to Wigtown and follow instructions above or
on our web site.
Getting There by Railway
Nearest station is Barr on the Ayr to Stranraer line.
It’s about 20 miles away, and if a local bus is not due a taxi will
have to be used.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Nearest airport is Glasgow Prestwick near Ayr, and then Glasgow international.
Getting There by Ferry
Stranraer has services from Belfast in Northern Ireland.
