We are located outside of the fog zone, despite the Atlantic ocean being just a short distance away the camp temperatures remain dryer than directly on the coast.
The fog banks that tend to build up around Swakopmund don’t affect us at all or tend to dissipate sooner, offering a more pleasant camping experience. We also allow pets at the camp sites so your furry companion can travel with you.
Sophia Dale Base Camp Accommodation
No matter which accommodation you choose, we promise you will be well taken care of. Pets are allowed at the camp sites but not in any of the rooms.

Camping
Our camp sites offer you shade and electricity points with beautiful views. There is ample space between campsites offering for a good amount of privacy. The ablutions are shared and cleaned daily.
There is a BBQ area at the sites however you do need to bring your own BBQ Grid. In the case you run out of wood you are welcome to buy from us at N$ 45 per bag.
You are welcome to bring your furry companions to the camp sites, do note this is the only place in Sophia Dale where pets are allowed.

Self-Catering
Should you be interested in our Self-catering accommodation you will have a fully equipped kitchen and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are provided and we offer a laundry service.
You may park next to the unit. The Self-catering units are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. When you feel like having a BBQ, you have access to your own outdoor BBQ area.

Rondavels
Our rondavels each have two bedrooms, ideal for families. One bedroom boasts a double bed and the other two single beds.
Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. You will have access to basic kitchen equipment such as a stove. The rondavel also has a dining room.
You will be able to park in front of your unit and have access to a communal BBQ area for all the units at the back.

Bungalows

Royal House
