The Elephants Rest Guest House is a communal self-catering establishment situated in the main street of Knysna. This double-storey guest house has a variety of rooms to suit the budget-conscious traveller. The large Executive Suite is a duplex with its own kitchen and sitting room and also has its own patio. The Standard Rooms can sleep singles or accommodate three people in a room. Most of the rooms have an en-suite bathrooms; only the Dorm Rooms share a bathroom. The large patio has an undercover braai area.

The guest house is within walking distance of the Waterfront Mall, restaurants and pubs. Nearby activities include bungee jumping, forest hikes, sunset cruises on the lagoon, fishing and paragliding.

This room has two double bunk beds with a dressing table and makes use
of a shared bathroom.
Executive Suite
This suite is a duplex consisting of a fully equipped kitchen and has
a sitting room downstairs. The bedroom with en-suite bathroom has a double
bed and bedside tables. This suite also has its own patio.
Family Unit
The Family Unit consists of two rooms connected by an inter-leading bathroom.
One room has a double bed, bedside tables and a single bed with a TV and
wardrobe. The second bedroom has two single beds, a dressing table, tea
and coffee-making facilities and a small kitchen with basin.
