Unique Addo Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
Chrislin African Lodge delivers a unique experience in African Lodge Accommodation
in traditionally built huts.
Each hut is constructed with mud and dung, and offers spacious and comfortable
eco-friendly accomodation.
All Standard and Luxury huts have en-suite bathrooms (with shower, basin
and toilet), tea & coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, alarm clock
/ radio's and hair dryers.
- The larger Luxury huts are also equipped with a fridge, air conditioning,
a lounge area with sleeper couch and dressing room.

Meals
During high season, delicious evening meals and light lunches
can be provided on request. Usually the evening meal will be a "Braai",
which is a South African barbeque.
From Port Elizabeth / Garden Route
· Take the N2 past Port Elizabeth and Blue water Bay.
· Take the Motherwell / Markmann (R335) turnoff to Addo.
· Keep on this road for about 40km until you reach the Addo village.
· Opposite the Police station, take a left turn down Valentine
Road (which becomes a gravel road).
· We are about 2km down Valentine Road. We are well sign posted.
From East London
· Take the R72 as far as the Nanaga intersection.
· Take the N10 in the direction of Paterson / Cradock.
· At Paterson, take a left turn onto the R342 to Addo.
· Drive about 40km (past the entrance of the Addo Elephant park)
until you reach the village of Addo.
· Opposite the Police station, take a left turn down Valentine
Road (which becomes a gravel road).
· We are about 2km down Valentine Road. We are well sign posted.
From Graaf Reinet through Kirkwood
· Turn off the R75 to Kirkwood, and drive through Kirkwood on the
R336.
· Keep driving in the direction of Addo. You will pass the "Africanos"
Restaurant on your left.
· Keep driving for another 2km, and look out for our sign, “Chrislin
B&B”, follow our sign by turning right onto a gravel road.
· Drive straight on the gravel road, until you reach our entrance.
The Addo Elephant park has over 370 elephant, buffalo,
black rhino, lion, hyena, zebra various species of antelope, and many
other interesting animals.
The park opens at about 7am to day visitors. You can choose to either
drive yourself around the game park, or to go on one of the organised
game drives. Each game drive is 2 hours long, and the price ranges between
R160 and R270 per person, depending on the time.
Private Safari
There are numerous private game reserves in our area, which offer day
safaris. They host a variety of different animal species including lion,
rhino, hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, many different antelope species,
and many interesting smaller animal species. Some also have elephant and
buffalo.
Option 1 - Full Day at Addo / Schotia Private Game Reserve
You are transferred from our B&B at 10am, and taken to the Addo elephant
park to spend a few hours viewing game. After a light lunch you will be
transferred to Schotia private game reserve at about 3 pm.
From there you are taken on a 4 hour game drive, stopping for refreshments
half way. After that, a delicious meal is served under a "bushveld"
boma. You are then returned to our B&B at about 21:30.
Option 2 - Half Day at Schotia Private Game Reserve
This begins at about 2:30pm, and you need to drive yourself to the Private
reserve (about 40 minutes away). From 3pm you will go on a 4 hour game
drive, stopping for refreshments half way. Afterwards a delicious meal
will be served under a "bushveld" boma. The evening will end
at about 21:30.
Option 3 - Pumba Private Game Reserve
Situated about 80km away from Chrislin, is a large 5 star private game
reserve which carries the Big 5. Their package includes a 4 hour game
drive, and a deliciously prepared meal served in an idyllic setting overlooking
lake Kariega.
Elephant Back Safaris is situated in the Zuurberg mountain,
about an hour´s drive from Chrislin.
They offer the unique opportunity to experience being close to African
elephants, whether it be feeding them, watching them wallow in a waterhole,
or even riding on them.
