Welcome to the Glades!The perfect wedding venue for your farm wedding. We are lucky enough to have a beautiful piece of heaven on the heart of the midlands, in Balgowan – KwaZulu Natal. Our farm consists of 100 hectares, which includes indigenous forest,
grazing cattle fields, beautiful dams and amazing views of the midlands. |

The nature surroundings are truly breath taking and during your stay at The Glades you can certainly enjoy the company of wildlife such as reedbuck, bushbuck, duiker, wild pigs, vast and abundant birdlife, not forgetting to proudly mention our Nguni cattle herd.
The Glades Accommodation
We are now open as a wedding and functions venue, contact us for our
rates and packages.
Our wedding package includes accommodation at the Main House and Cottage
for up to 12 people. Extra mattresses can be provided for children. These
are all on a self-catering basis, linen and bath towels are provided.
Main House
The Main House is a traditional farm style house, which sleeps 8 people.
It has 2 en-suite bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom, 1 toilet,
a lounge with fire place, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
In front of the house there is a beautiful lawn and garden with access
to the dam. The Cottage is a lovely private and cosy English style house,
which can sleep 4 people.
Wedding
If you are looking for an exclusive and charming venue for your big day our farm is the perfect choice. We have had the most beautiful weddings here, with very happy, pleased couples and guests. The ceremony can take place in different locations on the property: underneath trees on the lawn, by the dam banks, at our beautiful gardens or if you prefer we can also recommend a few chapels in the area.
For your reception our barn can accommodate 200 seated guests. The back wall is a glass window viewing our beautiful indigenous forest and all the side windows face an outstanding view of one of the midlands valleys. During winter you can see the snow cap Berg Mountains and during summer is luxurious green.
We would love to hear from you and assist as much as we can for your Big Day! We offer accommodation for up to 12 people on all packages and also have packages including all decor set up and coordination. Please contact us for a personalized quote.
