Makhato bush lodge, is a luxury self catering lodge situated in the bushveld about 15 minutes East of Bela Bela (Warmbaths) on the R516 road. The lodge is part of the greater 4 star Sondela Nature reserve which is located in the Limpopo province. The lodge offers a great weekend getaway as it is only 60 minutes drive north of Pretoria. Our lodge is situated in an Easterly direction from Bela Bela opposed to some other lodges like Mabalingwe, Zebula and Mabula which are situated on the Western side of Bela Bela. This is the ideal weekend getaway for the family with activities to keep all entertained. Walk in the bush on any one of the 3 hiking trails which range from 1 to 3 hours in duration, or go for a ride on your bicycle. Or just relax, watching game and birdlife form your veranda. |

Sondela nature reserve is a popular RCI resort and it offers various activities and facilities such as swimming pools, restaurant, shop, horse riding, game drives, and much more to keep the entire family entertained. The reserve is malaria free and totally safe and the management team is friendly and professional.
The lodge is serviced daily except on Sundays and Public Holidays but
cleaning services can be arranged on request. Linen and towels are changed
regularly with services.
You will be visited by some Nyala and can feed them with some specially
prepared food that is supplied to the lodge.
Sondela means "come closer" and we invite your to do just that.

The loft area is ideal for 2 single people or for the kids, as there
are 2 single beds and a small bathroom with a toilet, shower and a small
basin. The loft has a small stoep area where you can relax and view the
Northern side of the lodge from the top.
The lodge offers 2 large luxury en-suite bedrooms with a great view of
the bush where some wild animals will pass regularly. Each bedroom has
a spacious bathroom with a huge bath, shower, toilet and two basins.

How To Get To 13 Makhato Bush Lodge
From Pretoria, take the N1 to Pietersburg / Polokwane. Take the second
turnoff, the R516/Warmbaths/Settlers off-ramp. The Sondela entrance gate
is 1.5 km further on your left-hand side. The guard will direct you to
the main reception area.
