Thaba Thipa, which means "Mountain of the Knife", is situated on a 22-hectare farm in the heart of the bushveld, just 10 minutes north from Bela-Bela on the road to Modimolle.
The name Thaba or "mountain" originates from the mountain the farm is situated on.

The farm offers many game species, including eland, impala, duiker, klipspringer and bush buck, to name a few. In addition, over 100 bird species have been recorded on the farm, presenting a wonderful opportunity for bird watching.
There is an amazing scenery to be enjoyed while hiking, guests can unwind by watching the sunset while looking at the eland coming down from the mountain while you prepare a fire for the evening barbecue.

Impala Cottage
The 2 bedroomed cottage accommodates 4 guests in a double bed, 2 single beds and the shared bathroom has a shower only.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, TV with DSTV, thatched carport, private braai area, fan, heater and a garden area perfect for the avid bird watchers. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited.

Duiker Chalet
The 1 bedroomed chalet accommodates 4 guests in a double bed and bunk beds in the same room and the bathroom has a shower, toilet and a vanity unit.
Other facilities include garden views, tea / coffee facilities, heater, TV with DSTV, fans, private braai area, a fully equipped kitchen and smoking in the rooms is prohibited.

Eland Log Home
6 guests can be accommodated in this 2 bedroomed house, in a double bed, 2 single beds and there is a sleeper couch in the lounge that can be converted into a double bed to accommodate extra 2 people at a fee.

How To Get To Thaba Thipa

Take the N1 North to Polokwane and then turn left at the Bela-Bela turn-off. Continue to the T-junction at the Waterfront, turn right, and cross over the rail road. Turn right at the first traffic lights into Potgieter Street; this road leads to Modimolle.
Continue past Klein-Kariba, and 2 km further along turn left at the Thaba Thipa direction sign, after the Scorflufus Dog Kennels sign. Follow the road for 2 km and look out for the Thaba Thipa entrance on the right-hand side.
