Sunset
Lodge is a modern three leveled home located on top of a hill overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated in a crime-free, very quiet and tranquil
corner of Bloubergstrand, Cape Town.
The house has magnificent views from private balconies of both the ocean
and Robben Island. The beaches are a short walk down the hill.
The house has its own swimming pool, a cozy sunroom and a sundeck for
sun worshippers, as well as an extremely comfortable lounge with a small
library of novels and factual books.
Tea and coffee are always on the boil, and there is a well stocked bar
cabinet.
Sunset Lodge Accommodation
The Lodge has extremely high quality finishes in every room and offers
four en-suite bedrooms and one two-roomed family suite. All rooms have
MNet and parking is off-street behind security gates.
The keyword throughout is unparalleled luxury in a b&b - from the
large orthopedic mattresses to the monogrammed linen, to the fresh flowers
and complimentary fruit juices that are placed daily in the rooms.

attention to all your private needs.The beaches of Bloubergstrand are
well known for all types of water sports and have natural tidal pools
safe for small children.
The views from Bloubergstrand looking across the Bay towards Table Mountain
are quite simply breathtaking!
Bloubergstrand is on the outskirts of Cape Town, and a car journey into
the centre of the city takes only 20 minutes. Bloubergstrand also offers
easy access to the V&A Waterfront, the Stellenbosch wine route, Table
Mountain and all Cape beaches.
ROOM 1
This large north facing double room has its own furnished patio leading
off from a sliding glass door. The patio offers a full 270 degree view
of both the ocean and the adjacent green belt.
The room is exceedingly quiet and is steep in luxurious fittings and furnishings.
The carpets are pure wool and the bed linen is of the finest quality.
The room is decorated in shades of white, cream, black and yellow, matching
its overlying theme of sunflowers.
The bathroom has a full sized bath and separate glass-faced shower. All
the fittings are gilt-edged and only the finest Italian tiles have been
used throughout.
ROOM 2

ROOM 3
Room 3 is the smallest of the rooms but still has enough space to comfortably
sleep 2 persons. It has a double bed and faces out onto the Tygerburg
Hills.
Like all the other rooms, Room 3 is steep in luxurious fittings and furnishings.
The carpets are pure wool and the bed linen is of the finest quality.
The room has a nautical theme and is decorated in different shades of
blue. The en suite has a walk-in shower and is tiled throughout.
ROOM 4
Room 4 is a family unit comprising 2 separate bedrooms and one full bathroom.
All three rooms lead off a central atrium and the unit is private from
the rest of the house.
The large main bedroom has a king size bed and sea views. The second bedroom
has two single beds which can be made up into a king size bed if required.
Both rooms have television sets with MNet The bathroom has both a bath
and a separate glass-faced walk-in shower, and is fully tiled in imported
Italian tiles.
The unit is exceedingly quiet and is isolated from the rest of the house.
The carpets are pure wool and the bed linen is of the finest quality.
The main room is decorated in shades of blue and charcoal to match the
theme of Guinea Fowls used throughout.
Sunset Lodge Facilities
Breakfasts are freshly made from the finest ingredients
- free range farm eggs, jersey milk, succulent Cape fruits, freshly squeezed
orange juice, etc.
Breakfasts start with cut fruit, cereals and dried fruits, fruit juice
and yogurts, and are followed by a full "English" breakfast
of bacon and eggs and sausage.
Complimentary tea, filter coffee and the "cake of the day" is
served throughout the day at your convenience.
Rooms are serviced daily and fresh white fluffy towels are replaced as
often as required. A laundry service is provided.
Airport pickups can be arranged at a nominal fee (we
use an excellent company called Cape Splendour), and we can also arrange
your car rental needs if required through Rental Cars or CABS Car Hire.
Guided tours around the Peninsula in luxurious air-conditioned micro buses
can also be arranged.

Table Mountain dominates Cape Town in so many ways. It affects the weather,
it channels the winds through the city and it has its own unique flora
and fauna which can be found nowhere else in the world.
Getting up the mountain is very easy. There is a state-of-the-art rotating
cable car as well as numerous walks ranging from one to six hours, depending
on the route taken.
One of these routes up the mountain starts from Kirstenbosch gardens,
which beautifully displays the full range of Cape flora set against the
back of the mountain.
How To Get To Sunset Lodge
FROM
CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / GARDEN ROUTE
From the airport, take the N2 Highway towards Cape Town for ± 10
km and then take the M5 off-ramp to Milnerton (this is Koeberg Road).
Travel along Koeberg Road for another ± 10 km (you cross the N1
Highway on the way), following the signs to firstly Milnerton, and then
Bloubergstrand.
At the oil refinery (on the right hand side of Koeberg Road), turn left
into Blaauwberg Road (this is the M14). Keep traveling down Blaauwberg
Road all the way to the beach where you will come to a traffic circle.
Turn right at the circle into Marine Drive and travel exactly 2km until
you come across Perlemoen Drive on your right. Turn right in Perlemoen
and then after 50m you will hit a T-junction where you again turn right.
Keep on this road as it winds up the hill. This road becomes Gull Road.
Sunset Lodge is at the end of Gull Road (No 41) and is a very large white
double storey house.
FROM CAPE TOWN CBD / V&A WATERFRONT
Take the N1 leading out of town towards Paarl / Stellenbosch. About 1
km out of town take the off-ramp marked R27 Paarden Eiland.
This will take you onto Marine Drive which winds up northwards along the
West Coast. Travel ± 10 km along the R27 until you reach Blaauwberg
Road, which is the M14. Turn left into Blaauwberg Road and continue about
2 km all the way down to the beach where you will come to a traffic circle.
Turn right at the circle into Marine Drive and travel exactly 2km until
you come across Perlemoen Drive on your right. Turn right in Perlemoen
and then after 50m you will hit a T-junction where you again turn right.

FROM SALDANHA / WEST COAST
Travel southwards along the R27 (West Coast Highway) towards Cape Town.
± 20 km before Cape Town you turn right towards Melkbosstrand along
the M14.
This road winds through Melkbosstrand and becomes Marine Drive. Keep traveling
along Marine Drive for ± 8 km. You will go through two traffic
circles and then about 1km after the second circle until you will see
a very large block of flats (20 storey's high).
± 100m further on along Marine Drive past these flats you turn
left into Perlemoen Drive going up a hill. After 50 m you will hit a T-junction
where you must turn right. Keep on this road as it winds up the hill.
This road becomes Gull Road. Sunset Lodge is at the end of Gull Road (No
41) and is a very large white double storey house.
Cape Town
Cape Town has a winter rainfall climate which makes it very popular
with sun lovers in the summer months. There are beaches for all tastes,
from the ultra-trendy Clifton beaches, to the water sport and family beach
of Bloubergstrand.
The waters are always clean and are regularly tested by the authorities
for any traces of impurities.
The entire Southern Cape area is picturesque and driving in the country
is always popular. The day trip to Cape Point via Chapman's is the most
well known.
Along the way you should take time out to see the penguin colony at The
Boulders and sample some fresh seafood at Hout Bay.
At the very end of the trip there is the harsh environment of Cape Point
where two mighty oceans meet. Another very popular day trip is to visit
the Cape vineyards which can be found in most parts of the peninsula.
Of these, the Stellenbosch Winelands are probably the most scenic and

The V&A Waterfront has developed over the last five years into one
of South Africa's top 5 tourist attractions. It is one of those unique
locations in the world where top quality facilities have been planted
in amongst a full working harbour.
