Game viewing in your own vehicle, hiking, mountain biking, mountaineering, fishing, and nature photography are just some of the activities available at Jabali Game Reserve. Jabali means "small mountain" and wild pig. Jabali, as the name indicates, is located at the foot of a mountain aptly named Rhenosterkop and is a private nature reserve with spectacular views over Gauteng. Located just 80 km from Pretoria, it is easily accessible by tar road. |

The reserve offers the most spectacular hiking trails encompassing wetlands, mountain and grassland. Jabali is also of great historical importance. During the Boer war the English and Boers battled it out at Rhenosterkop, and visitors will find all kinds of interesting artefacts around the mountain. Visit the graves of the English and the Boers and follow in the footsteps of the early pioneers.
Accommodation is offered in luxurious chalets designed for guests' comfort and pleasure. Each chalet sleeps up to four guests and features two bedrooms, a lounge and open-plan kitchen, and a private veranda with stunning views. The chalets are also serviced daily for guests' convenience. The magnificent swimming pool and large lapa provide great entertainment and boasts stunning views. Luxury, comfort, quality and service is what you can expect at Jabali Game Reserve.
Jabali Game Reserve Accommodation
Impala Log Cabin
The Impala Log Cabin offers a special, cosy ambiance, with magnificent
views over Jabali. The self-catering log cabin sleeps up to four adults
sharing with two children and consists of two bedrooms and a loft with
a stunning outdoor shower. Features also include a comfortable porch.
The unit is very near the central entertainment area with a sparking pool
and lapa shared with the Thatch Chalet.
Kudu African Thatch Chalet
The Kudu African Thatch Chalet is very spacious and consists of a main
bedroom, a loft bedroom, a bathroom, and an outdoor shower. The open-plan
lounge is large, with sliding doors that lead out onto the spacious porch.
The high roof creates a very cool environment even on the hottest days,
and the unit has its own barbecue facilities, however guests are also
welcome to make use of the barbecue facilities at the entertainment area.
The chalet is fully fitted and serviced, and is approximately 50 steps
away from the central entertainment area and swimming pool.
Waterbuck Chalet
The Waterbuck Chalet can accommodate up to six guests in two double beds
and two single beds. The chalet offers one bathroom with a shower, bath
and separate toilet, and the kitchen is fully equipped and is open-plan
to the lounge. In addition, the wooded deck boasts fantastic views.
