Grass sites:
Suitable for camping, caravanning and camper vans. Each site has a 15amp
electricity supply, a braai area and a rubbish bin. Sites are large and
shady. We prefer not to have more than 6 guests per site, but in order
to accommodate larger family groups will allow up to 8 guests per site.
Gravel sites:
For larger caravans, the caravan can be parked behind the gravel portion
with the tents being pitched over the gravel area. These shady gravel
sites are fantastic as if there is rain, the water drains away quickly
and there is no mud on the site.
For guests making use of tents with inbuilt groundsheets, we recommend bringing an additional groundsheet or piece of shade cloth to put under the inbuilt groundsheet to prevent tearing or holes. These sites are fast becoming our most popular sites.
We offer all guests additional freezer space: there are two large communal freezers for guests convenience located in the laundry at the main ablution. Please no glass bottles or bread in the freezer and we recommend guests put items into plastic bags with their name on the bag. For your convenience we are able to refill you gas bottle on site.
Optional extra’s – to make your camping experience
a little more comfortable
Safari tents: these tents can be placed onto any site in the resort. Mattresses
are provided (up to 6 single mattresses per tent) or beds (up to 4 beds
per tent). Guests still need to bring all the other paraphernalia associated
with camping.
On almost all of our sites, two of our safari tents can be accommodated. A minimum of a two night stay is required for tents.
Mountain Biking
Mountain Splendour Eco-Resort is a mountain biking haven in the central
berg. Mountain Splendour has purpose built single track on the property,
offers guided mountain bike rides in the area, hosts training camps and
has a fully stocked cycle shop on the property.
Corporate Experience
Mountain Splendour Eco-Resort offers premier camping experiences for corporate
clients. Camping accommodation is provided in our luxury safari tents
that are set-up according to your requirements.
The beds are hotel-grade beds with maxi-pedic coil-spring mattresses and each bed is made-up with high-quality white linen. For the cooler months of the year, extra blankets and hot water bottles are provided. Electricity is supplied to each tent for lighting and so that clients may recharge cell phones and laptops.
