On the outskirts of Greater Johannesburg approximately 30 minutes from the old city center and on the Klein Jukskei River, stands this prominent four-storied Castle on five Ha 12 acres. The main building is of late 17th Century architectural style. We are located in tranquil Chartwell West, yet close to the main roads, shopping malls Four-ways Mall, Four-ways Crossing, Broadacres Garden Centre, Cedar Square, Monte Casino, The Lion Park, Lanseria Airport, and the brand new Four-ways Hospital. Our guesthouse is very spacious and peaceful, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. We have the largest maze in Africa, boasting more than 900 conifers. |

We have five double rooms and one double suite with private bathrooms and under floor heating. They are all bright and spacious, with traditional country décor. Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 9:00 am, but if you wish to eat earlier, please let us know. We wish you a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Chartwell Castle and Guest House Accommodation
Buckingham
Spacious, round room situated on the ground floor of The-Tower, under
a huge oak tree. It has big plasma TV, DStv, Fridge, King-size bed and
fool bathroom.
Clarence
Private and elegant, with its own outside entrance and large balcony.
This spacious room boasts an antique fireplace and extra-length king-size
bed. Natural light flows into the room from three sides.This room is very
suitable for honeymoon or as a executive suite.
Daisy cottage
One-bedroom with two single beds, kitchenette, full bathroom and private
garden.
Gatehouse Ground Floor
Gatehouse Ground Floor. On Ground level of the Castle Gatehouse. Sleeps
up to four guests. Lounge/dining room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with
shower only, but a bidet. Approximately 55 square meter. Very quaint accommodation
and private.
Gatehouse Loft
Loft level of the Castle Gatehouse sleeps two guests. Bedroom, bathroom
with shower and bath combined. Approximately 45 square meter. Air-conditioned,
charming wooden strip floor on concrete slab, 11 dormer windows in high-pitched
roof. Very comfortable and private accommodation.
Gloucester
Spectacular view on bush on one site and on pool area and park, like garden
on other site from our lovely king size bedroom and en-suite full bathroom.
The huge oak tree, in front of the window is providing protection from
hot sun and it is host for many kind of birds. In room is a fridge, plasma
TV, DStv and underfloor heating.
Iris and Zinnia
Cottage - bachelor with two single beds, full bathroom, kitchenette and
privat garden.
Lancaster and York
Two rooms joined via large balcony plus single room, overlooking our beautiful
garden and swimming pool. Spacious bedroom and sitting room with a sleeper
couch. Very private and comfortable.
Lily Cottage
Cottage consists one double bedroom with one single beds, sitting room
with double sleeper couch, full bathroom.
Poppy Cottage
Poppy Cottage sleeps up to six guests. Very big lounge with fireplace
and lovely view of river. Bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower. Approximately
120 square meter. Very comfortable and private accommodation.
Rose Cottage
Rose Cottage consists of two bedrooms, one bedroom with one single bed,
one bedroom with two single beds, sitting room with double sleeper couch,
bathroom.
Somerset
Semi-circular room below ground level, under a huge oak tree. Inside and
outside entrance. Overlooking the herb garden.
