Doornbosch Farm is a lush green valley located on the banks of the Doorn River, 59 km from Clanwilliam, 100 km from Calvinia and just under three hours from Cape Town.
The outstretched fields of lucerne comes as something of a surprise in the arid Karoo and Cederberg wilderness surrounding it, drawing guests in like an oasis in the good old days of slow travelling.

The farmhouse sleeps up to 15 guests in six separate en-suite bedrooms, each with crisp white linen and towels.
The living areas and kitchen are a large open-plan set up, with a fireplace for winter and air-conditioning for summer.
A rock swimming pool at the riverside is good fun for warmer days, and hiking or biking routes around the farm roads will ensure your fill of fresh air.
