How To Get To Applegate Lodge

From Johannesburg
Take N3 to Durban and take off ramp for R26 at Villiers. Follow R26 past Frankfort, Tweeling, and Reitz until you reach Bethlehem. Look for the R76 towards Durban, about 7kms out of Bethlehem you take a right turn onto the R711 to Clarens. Travel time approx. 3hrs.

From Durban
Take N3 to Harrismith and after Estcourt take the R74 off ramp to Bergville. Follow the R74 past Winterton, Bergville and up past Sterkfontein Dam. At the T-junction turn left onto the R712 to Golden Gate / Clarens. Follow the R712 through the Golden Gate to Clarens. Travel Time approx. 4hrs.

From Bloemfontein
Take the N8 East toward Maseru (Lesotho). Turn left onto the R26 and follow the signs to Ladybrand, continue on the R26 past Ficksburg toward Fouriesburg. At the junction, continue onto the R711 past Fouriesburg and onto Clarens. Travel Time approx. 2hrs 30mins.
