We offer 5 self catering units that can accommodate up to 16 guest, bed and breakfast meals can be arranged and units are serviced daily. Each unit is equipped with a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, cooking and eating utensils and outside braai facilities!
There is TV with Local Channels and limited DSTV channels, heaters, electric blankets, tea / coffee facilities, toilet paper, dishcloth, linen are towels are also provided. Pets are NOT permitted.

Santa
18 steps and guests reach Santa. An open plan unit with a kitchen, double bed, bathroom with a shower and dining corner! Outside there is a private veranda overlooking the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho and the local Red Mountains and there is a fireplace.

June
Entrance on the same level than Santa and reached with its own 18 steps. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single bunker beds and a bathroom with a shower. There is a kitchen, dining corner, private outside veranda overlooking the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho and local Red mountains. June also has a fireplace.

Anki
Has 3 ground floor bedrooms with a bathroom with a bath, shower and separate toilet. One bedroom with a double bed, one with two single beds and the third with two single bunker beds. A very spacious kitchen, lounge and dining room are found upstairs when you climb 8 steps.
The upstairs kitchen, lounge and dining room can accommodate 10 people and have a fireplace. There is a private verandah overlooking the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho and local Red Mountains!

Ann
One ground floor open plan unit with a small kitchen, dining corner, bathroom with a shower and two single beds. There is NO fireplace.

Ada
One ground floor open plan unit with a small kitchen, dining corner, bathroom with a shower and a double bed. There is NO fireplace.

Abseiling:
A stunning 10,30, 35 or 50m abseil in Clarens town and Golden Gate National Park. Get the best view of Clarens and the surrounding areas.
View of the Katse Dam:
Katse Dam is part of the Lesotho Highlands Water project, Africa’s second largest dam! Full day tours to the Katse dam Lesotho available! The dam is open for visitors so you can visit the dam during your stay at Eddies Self Catering.

White River Rafting:
Two Clarens businesses run the Ash river in big six men rafts. Grade 3 and 4 rapids. Half day and full day trips. Discount for groups, families and children.

How To Get To Eddies Self Catering

From Johannesburg via Villiers
Take the N3 to Durban, pass the Engen and go across the Vaal River. Then turn to Villiers / Frankfort just before the Villiers Tollgate.
Before Frankfort there is a T junction – turn right and then just pass Frankfort, cross the Wilge river bridge and turn left at Reitz / Tweeling turn off.
Bypass Tweeling & Reitz and then into Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, go through the traffic light at the Wimpy, continue for ±6km passing the Frontier Casino on your right until you find the Clarens off road on you right hand.

From Bloemfontein
Take the N8 road from Bloemfontein, pass Ladybrand and continue straight on to Ficksburg on the R26 road. By– pass Ficksburg and continue on the R26 Bethlehem road for approx. 48km until you come to the first turn off to Fouriesburg and Clarens. Turn right at this junction and continue for approximately 32km until you find the Clarens off road.

From Durban
Take the N3 from Durban. Approx. 25km from Estcourt turn left onto Winterton road (Off ramp 194) go through Winterton and Bergville, over Oliviershoek pass and continue past the Sterkfontein dam to the T-junction. Turn left and continue past the Qwa-Qwa turn-off through Golden Gate National park until you find the Clarens off road.
