Things to do in Constantia Valley
Because the Constantia Valley is located in the centre of the Peninsula, it is the perfect Cape Town base for visitors and the area offers a variety of things to do and experience.
For naturists there is Silvermine Nature Reserve and Tokai Forest, with their numerous hiking and mountain bike trails wandering through a variety of pine, oak and redwood trees.
Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens is home to more than 8500 indigenous plants species and holds regular music concerts in the grounds of the magnificent surroundings.

Three top Golf Courses
Constantia Valley offers visitors a challenging selection of parkland golf courses in scenic settings, all of them with outstanding views of the Constantiaberg mountain range.
These championship golf courses are within a ten minute drive from Citadel Apartments. The oldest golf club in South Africa is Royal Cape Golf Club (1895).
Steenberg Golf Course is within a residential estate and some holes are played amongst the vineyard. Westlake Golf Club, renowned for its hospitality, welcomes visitors and has excellent club house facilities and restaurant.

Things to See and Do in Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula
The Luxury Self Catering Constantia Apartments @ Citadel , in the southern suburbs, are situated within 20 minutes drive to Cape Town City Centre, Airport, the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island Ferry, and Table Mountain Cable Car. The warm water False Bay Beaches, such as Muizenberg and Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay Harbour are within 15 minutes drive.

For breathtaking scenery, drive over Constantia Nek to visit Hout Bay beach and fishing harbour and Chapmans Peak Drive, or drive along the dramatic coast line to enjoy Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton beaches. Once over Ou Kaapse Weg, it is only 20 minutes drive to view the Penguins at Boulders beach, or explore Simonstown, and further to reach Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Point and Noordhoek Mile long beach.

How To Get To Constantia Apartments

From Cape Town International Airport
Take the Cape Town exit over the bridge onto the N2. Travel towards Table Mountain on the N2 to Cape Town for approximately 11 km. Go past the M5 Muizenberg / Mowbray turnoff, do not take the turnoff but move over to the left hand lane. Then, take the next turnoff which says M3 Muizenberg.

*From Cape Town City / Waterfront
Follow signs for N2 or M3, but continue along road which becomes the M3.*From N1 from Paarl or N7Take the M5 Muizenberg, then N2 City, then M3 Muizenberg, off ramps.

** The M3 is the main connecting road from the Waterfront and Cape Town city centre to Constantia and the Southern Suburbs and Muizenberg. Continue on the M3 (approx 9km) and take the Kendal Road, M38 Exit off ramp. At top of off ramp Turn left into road saying M 38, Diep River.

Travel down hill to Traffic Circle and take first left exit into Boundary Road (NB, At circle, you must give way to cars coming from your right). At 4 way stop street, turn right. Turn left at 2nd road into Frances Road. Follow road around the School and Hospital and turn left into Birmingham Road. Constantia Apartments at Citadel entrance is approximately 200 metres further, on right side.

First time arrivals and visitors must sign in at security gate and park car in visitors parking area until basement parking bays are advised.Once you are a resident and have received your gate entrance remotes, the easier and more convenient entrance is via Boundary Road and into Birmingham Road.
(N.B. Birmingham Road is not a through road). At the 4 way stop on Boundary Road, continue straight on and turn right at first road after the Constantiaberg Medi Clinic, which is Birmingham Road. Push Brown colour on remote and this will open these entrance gates.
