The hotel is situated in a quiet yet accessible leafy suburb
of Cape Town, known as the Constantia Valley, which evolved from
the very first wine-producing farms established in the Cape colony,
as early as 1685. This idyllic location provides the perfect setting
to relax and rejuvenate with peace and privacy as the ideal.

The large private manicured gardens allow you to benefit from the

Nova Constantia Boutique Residence Accommodation
Nova Constantia offers you eight generously proportioned suites on three
levels, each featuring dressing rooms, kitchenettes as well as private
terraces and balconies.
Our apartment suite additionally contains a fully equipped kitchen, private
entrance and patio. All our suites are equipped with large flat-screen
TVs with satellite channel feed, DVD players and Wi-Fi internet access.

The residence has a flood lit tennis court for the use of our guests
free of charge. The tennis racquets can be rented from the concierge.
The sizeable swimming pool (11x6m) is solar heated, the temperature is
maintained around 28ºC (82ºF).
A private balcony Jacuzzi with the view of Constantiaberg mountains can
be enjoyed in our Luxury suites. Guests can enjoy a game of snooker on
the pool patio, adjoining the bar & lounge area.
The hotel boasts a sizeable library of light reading material as well
as DVD's. Satellite TV and digital audio channels are offered on 40inch
flat screen TVs in the suites or via the projector screen in the lounge.
Broadband internet connectivity with Wi-Fi access is available throughout
the hotel.
The suites are serviced daily, during late morning and early afternoon
or at your convenience. Essential high quality toiletries are provided
and the turn down service is prepared in the early evening. We also offer
an overnight laundry service; please make use of the laundry bag provided
in your suite.
Breakfasts are individually prepared to our guests' requirements, created
from the freshest organic ingredients, taking advantage of the on-site
herb garden, served either in the dining area, suites or alfresco on the
patio or in the gardens.
Refreshments, such as sandwiches and a wide selection of imported and
local teas, coffees, healthy snacks, biscuits and ice creams are available
either in the kitchenette in the suites or upon request.
Nearby, many fine restaurants can be discovered and enjoyed. Should you
wish, we can arrange for lunch and dinner to be delivered and served either
in your suite or the dining area.
We also host various late-afternoon and evening meals on the hotel grounds
- from barbecues, to interactive gourmet dinners prepared by one of the
leading chefs, champagne and oysters evenings, sushi under the stars or
wine and cheese pairing in the company of one of the award-winning winemakers.
Usually, the nature and timing of these events are based on our guests’
preferences and arranged with the hotel in advance.
Prepaid local cell phone SIM cards can be arranged to provide you with
a cost efficient means of making and receiving calls while away from home.
Should you choose not to bring your electronics on vacation we are able
to arrange rentals of both notebooks and cell phones.
The greater Cape Town area enjoys detailed electronic map coverage and
if required, we can arrange the rental of a GPS navigation system for
your vehicle.
The GPS unit can be pre-programmed with selected points of interest according
to your preferences to ensure your exploration is relaxed and enjoyable.
ATTRACTIONS / ACTIVITIES
Cape Town and the Western Cape region offer an amazing variety of activities,
which can be tailored to suit even the most adventurous traveller.
The Constantia Valley is world-renowned for its gourmet delights and excellent
wines - so whether its wine tasting in front of a roaring fire or among
the vines on a hot summer day, you can experience the Valley's attractions
and activities all year round.
Summer picnics at one of the picturesque local wine estates are a popular
past time. There are two championship golf courses, the Steenberg and
Westlake courses, both within 10 minutes from the residence. The tee times
and equipment hire can be organised through the concierge.
Some of the most popular hiking trails start literally from our doorstep.
By ascending from the Constantia Nek, you can explore the top of Table
Mountain on foot, enjoying the magnificent panoramic views over the whole
of Cape Town.
Other outdoor activities such as jogging, horse-riding, cycling, mountain-biking,
climbing, and abseiling can be organised for individuals or small groups
upon request.
Cape Town beaches are world-famous and there is a full range of sea-based
activities available nearby. The Muizenberg beach is an ideal location
for those keen to learn or enjoy a variety of beach water sports, such
as surfing, kayaking or kite-surfing.
The nearby village of Hout Bay with its famous fishing harbour lies within
a 15 minutes drive. From here, a half-day or full day trip can be arranged
on a sailing or motor boat. Sunset cruises and deep sea fishing trips
are the most popular.
DAY TRIPS
The most popular Cape Town attractions are within a short drive from our
residence. A must-see for every visitor is the top of the famous Table
Mountain.
A state-of-the-art revolving cable car takes you safely to the top affording
a 360 degree view over the city of Cape Town - the height of Table Mountain
at its highest point is 1085m. For the more adventurous, there are many
climbing or hiking trails should you prefer this route. As the "tablecloth"
of cloud often covers the mountain, so these trips are best arranged on
the day.
The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is world-renowned
for its beauty and diversity of the Cape flora it displays and for the
magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
Guided tours are offered as well as picnics and sunset concerts of both
popular and classical music on the premises.
The Tokai Arboretum dates back to 1694 and is the oldest
tree park in South Africa. This national monument has a wide variety of
trees and is a popular area for walking, hiking and mountain biking. The
variety of trees includes large Californian Redwoods and Oaks.
Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape
Town's working harbour, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront has
become South Africa's most visited destination. Set against a backdrop
of magnificent sea and mountain views, it offers a mélange of exciting
shopping and entertainment venues.
The Atlantic Seaboard is an ideal destination for a "day
at the beach" offering four beaches at Clifton, the Camps Bay beach,
which is set against the impressive backdrop of the Twelve Apostles mountain
range and further out is Sandy Bay popular with naturists. A wide variety
of excellent restaurants line Camps Bay beachfront – an ideal place
for sundowners.
For a more rural feel visit Noordhoek with its beautiful
mile long beach, ideal for horse riding, and picturesque Farm Village.
From Noordhoek, Cape Town’s most scenic drive via Chapman's Peak
will bring you to Hout Bay.
Cape Point, the south-western tip of Africa is a short
drive away and definitely worth the visit. On the way, one can stop at
Simonstown, the home of the South African Navy and the only colony of
penguins in Africa.
The wine regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek
and Paarl are set at the foot of the Hottentots Mountains and offer world
class wines and amazing scenery. There are a number of excellent award
winning vineyards and restaurants to visit, or you may opt for a picnic
in one of the scenic locations.
The coastal town of Hermanus, less than one hour away,
is most famous for its whales. The whales regularly come incredibly close
to the shore during their mating season (September till November) and
can be viewed by the naked eye.
The Cape West Coast is gaining popularity amongst visitors
and its coastline offers a rural feel unique to the area. The National
Park is famous for its wild flowers, blossoming in September and a number
of emerging vineyards are starting to compete with the more established
siblings of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.
Several game reserves have been successfully developed
within driving distance from Cape Town. These offer visitors the opportunity
to view a majority of South African fauna, including the "Big Five"
(elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo) in a malaria-free environment
close to the Mother City.
How To Get To Nova Constantia Boutique Residence
From the airport, take the N2 towards Cape Town and follow it for 10
kilometers. Exit onto the M3 South (direction Muizenberg) and carry on
for 9.5km
Exit at the Kendal Road off-ramp and turn right onto Kendal Road, direction
Tokai. Turn left at the T-junction onto Spaanschemat River Road, direction
Tokai. Follow the road for 2km. Turn right into Welbeloond Road and then
immediately first right into Muscat Lane South.
