The Garden Room
Opening onto the contemporary landscaped garden at the back of the house, the Garden Room enjoys a tranquil setting adjacent to the koi pond waterfall.
Stylishly decorated in smoky blues and greys, guests can enjoy the gentle sounds and smells of the garden from the comfort of their luxurious queen sized sleigh bed. We encourage our guests to take time out to “smell the roses” so to speak and enjoy the quiet sanctuary of the garden.

With lots of carefully structured little nooks and crannies offering comfortable seating to sit and reflect, if only for a moment or two. This garden was carefully planned, meticulously planted and nurtured with care, lots of compost and Mother Nature, so please, take a stroll in it and enjoy.

The room is equipped with selected DSTV channels, air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, a heater, some great coffee table books and magazines and complimentary toiletries.
The modern en suite bathroom is equipped with a toilet, basin and shower. All rooms have their own entrance and all guests are provided with a remote control for the gates to ensure exclusive, easy entrance and exit.

The Corner Suite
Opening onto its own small private court yard. The Corner Suite is ideally positioned close to the swimming pool and entertainment area. Breakfast can be served in the private courtyard or join the other guests in the sunny dining room, looking onto the pool area.
The queen sized luxury bed, complete with white linen and mosquito netting is romantic and comfortable, with a full sized single bed in the inter-leading lounge area for an additional guest, if necessary.

The room is equipped with selected DSTV channels, air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, a heater, a collection of books and magazines, DVD & hi fi, a full length mirror, office space / dressing table, a two pin plug and complimentary toiletries.
The full en suite bathroom is complete with a full length bath, basin, toilet and shower. All rooms have their own entrance and all guests are provided with a remote control for the gates to ensure exclusive, easy entrance and exit.

The Family Suite
Opening onto the picturesque landscape of the front garden, the family room offers ideal accommodation for a family of four with two large inter-leading bedrooms, separated by a double full length mirrored door, lockable from both sides.
The luxury queen sized bed is dressed in fine linen with quality duvet, goose down pillows and electric blanket in winter, and the inter-leading room offer either two full size single beds or a double queen sized bed, also dressed in fine linen, goose down pillows and electric blankets in winter.

The Family Room has its own high speed ADSL internet connection and desktop computer. The rooms boast modern contemporary furniture and fittings and are equipped with fans, tea & coffee making facilities, plenty cupboard space, a Hi Fi & DVD player, flat screen TV, selected DSTV channels, children’s books and games and a varied selection of coffee table books and magazines.
The stylish Family Suite bathroom is adjacent to the rooms and is equipped with a full sized bath, high pressure shower, basin and toilet.
All rooms have their own entrance and all guests are provided with a remote control for the gates to ensure exclusive, easy entrance and exit.

The Executive Suite
The Executive Suite is the largest and most luxurious of the four units, featuring an antique Indonesian 4 poster bed which is king sized and extra length.
The bed is dressed with luxury bedding, six feather pillows and a luxurious goose down duvet. An electric blanket is provided for those rare chilly coastal winter nights.

The room is fully air conditioned, has its own TV with DSTV Bouquet, tea & coffee making facilities, large en suite bathroom with full length bath, its own private entrance, plenty of cupboard space, a walk in dressing room with full length mirror and a custom built dressing table / desk.
The warm wooden flooring adds a romantic atmosphere and the ambient lighting is gentle and relaxing. The double French doors open onto the landscaped front garden and the built in window seats offer a cosy recess for afternoon reading or a vantage point from which to admire the view.

The Maple Suite
The Maple Suite – Luxury self catering open plan 4 sleeper unit with luxury queen sized bed and twin single beds, quality linen and feather duvets and pillows, fully equipped modern kitchenette with stove, microwave and fridge, DSTV, Aircon, En Suite Bathroom with shower basin & toilet.

What's On In Valley of 1000 Hills
The Valley of 1000 Hills Route is one of KwaZulu Natal's best kept secrets. The Valley of a 1000 Hills forms around the majestic valley created by the Mngeni River and it's tributaries.
Many artists and crafters have been attracted to the beauty and tranquillity of this area which is dotted with cosy guest lodges, friendly pubs and tea gardens with sweeping views over the hills and dams.

The main attractions on the 1000 Hills Experience are the dramatic landscape and Zulu culture which is well interpreted at three cultural villages.
The 1000 Hills Choo Choo offers steam train trips from Kloof station to Cato Ridge on weekends and the more adventurous can view the stunning scenery from the skies. Microlight flips are organised from Cato Ridge Airfield. There are also boat cruises on Shongweni, Nagle and Inanda Dams and visitors can spend a day on a guided fishing trip or escorted 4 wheel drives through the Valley Floor.

How To Get To Maple Tree Manor

From Johannesburg
N3 to Durban Take the alternate route on the M13 - Just before the Marrianhill Toll Plaza. Follow The Hillcrest / Pinetown Signs.
Take the M13 Westville Split (Keep Right) Take the Old Main Rd / Dawncliffe Off ramp (Garage at the top of off ramp) Left at the stop street onto Old Main Rd.

Take the 3rd road to the right – Woodside Avenue. Follow Woodside down to the fork in the road – keep right. At the Security Hut go straight over the 3 way stop into Kitchener Rd.
Follow Kitchener for approximately 200m. At the stop street go straight over into Elgin Drive Follow Elgin Drive around for approximately 800m. Maple Tree Manor is on the left hand side.

From Durban International Airport
Turn right at the first robot coming out of the airport towards PMB. Keeping Left - Go straight over the next set of robots under the bridge to PMB.
Take the N3 to PMB, follow the N3 until the Pavillion / Spine Road Off ramp and at the top of the off ramp turn right into St. James over the bridge.
Follow St. James up the hill until Buckingham Terrace, left into Buckingham over the first set of robots on Buckingham.

At the second set of robots take a right and an immediate right again onto the M13 Pinetown / PMB Road. Follow the M13 for approximately 1km then take the Old Main / Cowies’s Hill Off ramp.
At the top of the off ramp go straight over, keeping left. Go over the bridge, past the petrol station and take the 3rd right turn into Woodside Avenue.
Follow Woodside Avenue down for 500 metres until it splits. Keep Right. At the Security hut go straight over the 3 way stop into Kitchener Road Go straight over the next stop street and Kitchener becomes Elgin Drive. Maple Tree Manor is approximately 800 metres along Elgin Drive on the left hand side.
