Die Ou Pastorie is a unique historic guest house and restaurant situated in Skeerpoort, in magnificent gardens at the foot of the ancient Magaliesberg mountains. it is a concept in creative contradiction. At once combining vibrant vintage with eclectic fusion décor, Die Ou Pastorie showcases both cultural tradition and creative flair.

Guests of Die Ou Pastorie are accommodated in eight individually appointed garden suites, all with views of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Each suite follows a unique theme, with funky, mismatching light fittings, materials and décor providing an eccentric yet welcoming ambience. All rooms are spacious and en suite with private balconies, and embody both the serenity and vibrancy of Die Ou Pastorie. Each room has air conditioning and DSTV (Limited Bouquet), and haridryers are available on request.

Restaurant

Our food style resonates with the country environment of Die Ou Pastorie. We grow and utilize our organic microgreens and greens; and source as much local & seasonal produce as is possible; creating fusion-style menu’s that is decadently different.To this end, Die Ou Pastorie is closely entwined with neighbouring farmers, ensuring that guests experience the full freshness and flavour of our community.

During the week and on Saturday’s we offer a bistro menu; and with fresh specials available weekly. We served breakfasts and lunches from Wednesday to Saturdays and on Sundays we serve breakfast and an elegant country buffet lunch; which has become very popular, a wide and unusual selection of starters; mains and desserts. Dinners are available on Friday and Saturday evenings; or on any evening for functions, and by appointment.

We have established an ‘edible garden’, with vegetables and herbs of every description (including micro-greens) growing amongst the trees and flowers.

Directions to Die Ou Pastorie

Directions from Pecanwood

Turn right out of Pecanwood Estate, straight past the Sun City / Brits turnoff until the next T-junction. Turn left at this T-junction onto R560 (Krugersdorp, Magaliesberg, Hekpoort Road). Die Ou Pastorie is approx 2,5 kms from this T-Junction on the left hand side. You will go through the little town of Skeerpoort which is only a garage and bottle store. We are next to the farm land on your left – well signposted “Die Ou Pastorie”.
