Centrally situated in Durban North, in a secluded garden between the Durban and Umhlanga Business Districts, Mandalay B&B and Conference Centre provides luxury accommodation for the discerning business traveller and holiday maker alike.
A short trip gets you to the Kingsmead Cricket Grounds, the Durban ICC, Umgeni Bird Park and Ushaka Marine World, the ocean and miles and miles of sandy beaches, and when it comes to the finest in restaurants, coffee shops and nightspots, you are positively spoilt with choice!

Mandalay Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

We have 5 bedrooms, 2 with king sized bed and 3 double beds. The king size beds are en-suite with own entrance, air- conditioning, an electronic safe, channel television and a radio / alarm clock.
These rooms boast a sleeper couch each allowing families with small children a space to call home when holidaying in our neck of the woods.
Featuring a work space with a telephone and WIFI connectivity, these rooms are perfect for work after-hours, with supper available for those chasing deadlines into the night.
A stocked bar-fridge comes standard, as does tea and coffee, and laundry facilities are available on-site should you require a fresh-pressed suit for that meeting first thing in the morning.

The 3 en-suite double rooms each with their own entrances have air- conditioning, electronic safe, channel television and a radio / alarm clock.
They feature a work space with a telephone and WIFI connectivity, these rooms are perfect for work after-hours, with supper available for those chasing deadlines into the night.

Our Conference Centre has been the destination of choice for numerous successful conferences, team building sessions, product launches, company meetings and even Christmas parties over the years.
Overlooking the garden and pool, this air-conditioned space is complemented with a Guest Lounge and Bar which is available for smaller business meetings and corporate sessions, sundowners and other special events.
A sparkling swimming pool, braai facilities and the Guest Lounge and Bar are all available to guests, and apart from our in-room facilities, we also offer the following:

- Transfers to and from the airport on request*
- A wake-up service
- Wireless internet (WiFi)
- Telephone facilities/ messages by arrangement

The conference room can comfortably accommodate 45 delegates cinema style, 24 horse shoe or 36 classroom style. Data projectors and other equipment can be hired on request.
Catering is done either in-house or by professional service providers who are able to cater for all needs, including any special dietary requirements that are advised.
An ideal space for smaller corporate meetings and events would be one of our venues that accommodate 12 delegates cinema style, 7 horse shoe style and 10 classroom style.

Activities in and around Durban

Mandalay Bed and Breakfast and conference centre are within walking distance of the ABSA and Moses Mabhida Sports Stadium, the Durban Country Club and The Winsor park golf course.

A 5 minute drive gets you to the Suncoast casino with it’s private beach, numerous restaurants,, nightspots and cinemas.
The Durban Playhouse is a 7 minute drive from Mandalay, whilst art galleries and theatres abound in and around town.

There are several institutes of learning and meeting centres within easy driving distance of Mandalay: UND, MANGOSUTHU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, UNISA, ACTION TRAINING, EMBIZWENI CONVENTION CENTRE and the RIVERSIDE CONFERENCE CENTRE.

La Lucia shopping mall, The Umhlanga business district and beaches, Durban CBD and Virginia Airport are all within 7 minutes of Mandalay B&B and Conference Centre.
Virginia Bush and Mangrove Nature Reserve are a 10 minute drive from our doorstep, whilst the Midlands Meander, the Drakensberg and Lesotho are all day trips away that are well worthwhile.
