We offer excellent self catering and guesthouse accommodation in our sea
facing apartments that overlook False Bay and the beach.
Delightful Fish Hoek, is only 30 minutes outside Cape Town city and is
a charming little seaside village in False Bay with loads of tourist attractions
within a 20-30 minute radius.
A Whale of a Time Accommodation
A Whale of a Time accommodation in Fish Hoek is magical! There are various
self catering apartments offered, from single rooms to family suites and
garden apartments.
Every room at a Whale of a Time has a spectacular view over the whole
of False Bay and the accommodation is graded 4 Stars by the Tourism Grading

Penguin apartment
Luxurious, spacious 1 bedroom apartment with magnificent sea view and
it sleeps 2. Tastefully furnished with soft voile curtaining, butterscotch
maple flooring, solid Oregon furniture for comfort and pleasure.
This apartment consists of a large sun-filled lounge, open-plan with kitchenette
in solid Oregon, fully equipped with fridge, two plate Salton stove, microwave
oven, crockery, cutlery, eating bar counter etc. all with french doors
wide to the wrap-around balcony and spectacular view of the False Bay
waters.
Sleep in the lovely solid twin 3/4 oak beds with French, stained glass
doors open to the sight, sound and the smell of the ocean.
Dine on the balcony, then enjoy a shower or a long relaxing soak with
candle light in the pristine romantic en-suite roll-top Victorian bath.
The apartments are fully self contained for your convenience. TV includes
SABC, MNet and shared DSTV. Use of the guests sparkling salt water swimming
pool in the garden below.

or relax with candle light in the romantic Victorian bathroom with its
slipper bath and candle candelabra, or shower in the spacious shower.

The Dolphin Studio Apartment
This apartment accommodates 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children.
Adjacent to the Whale penthouse is the Dolphin Apartment.
This open plan studio apartment with second bedroom, has a relaxed atmosphere.
It has been tastefully furnished and has stunning 180° sea views.
There is TV, shared DSTV and M-Net, and guests have the use of the residents'
inviting crystal clear, salt-water swimming pool situated below in the
well-maintained garden.
The open-plan studio with queen-sized bed is comfortably furnished with
cane furniture and a glowing Oregon kitchenette, fully equipped with fridge
/ freezer, oven and hob, microwave oven, crockery, cutlery, toaster and
large eating bar counter.
It opens out onto the Victorian balcony through lovely French stained-glass
doors.The seaview is stunning and facing north, the sun pours through
in the mornings.
The second cosy bedroom has two single mounted solid oregon bunk beds.
Ablutions consist of a large shower room, beautifully appointed and sparkling
clean, with basin and loo.
Take advantage of the spectacular scenery by making full use of the amply
furnished balcony - eat leisurely meals while gazing out over the immense
False Bay coastal view and enjoy sundowners here too.
Beluga Penthouse
Tastefully furnished, soft, romantic and full of charm, this
suite is in a class all its own, sleeps 4 and has the most stunning views
overlooking the sea.
It consists of two bedrooms and a large open-plan sun-lounge with fitted
kitchen . The main bedroom, is furnished with a queen-size bed facing
out to sea and the glorious sunrise over False Bay and the built-in cupboards
are of solid maple.
A second sunny bedroom has two single mounted solid oregon (bunk) beds.The
romantic Victorian bathroom has loads of charm with its slipper bath and
candelabra, for long romantic, candlelit soaks, as well as a full shower.
The Oregon kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven and hob,
microwave oven, crockery, cutlery, toaster, large eating bar counter etc.
and flows through the open-plan lounge, with magnificent sea view , onto
the spacious sundeck and lookout balcony.
Eat your breakfast out here, watching the sun rise over False Bay or sip
an apperitif in the evening while watching the fishing boats returning
with their catches to the harbour at Kalk Bay.
The apartment has a TV, SABC, M-Net, shared DSTV and guests have free
use of the garden down below and the lovely salt-water residents' swimming
pool.
The Southern Right Stone Cottage
One of a kind, built of hand-packed stone, carried by hand from the mountain
cliffs of Sunny Cove, with dark beams and gum poles, lovingly thatched.
This magical stone cottage offers unsurpassed, sweeping views from its
dormer windows, across the whole of False Bay to the Hottentots Holland
mountains beyond.
The stone cottage, is fully self-contained with a well-fitted kitchen
and cosy lounge. It sleeps four people in two en-suite bedrooms upstairs
and with a shower and the offer of an extra two beds downstairs, can stretch
its accommodation to six.
The main bedroom has elegance. A queen-size four poster wrought-iron
bed invites you to "lie-in" and watch the seascape through the
delightful dormer windows.
In the room is a TV, screened Victorian roll top bath and basin and separate
loo. The second bedroom has twin three-quarter wrought iron beds with
a whale theme and a Victorian bathroom, also with victorian bath and loo,
en-suite.
Downstairs are the tastefully furnished and sun-filled lounge and an
open-plan solid wood kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave,
crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle, etc and large eating bar counter.
TV includes SABC, MNet and shared DSTV.
Also downstairs is a shower, basin and loo room. The Living room has French
doors opening directly into A Whale of a Time's wonderfully tranquil garden
with its crystal clear, salt water swimming pool and wind-free patio overlooking
Fish Hoek Bay.
Swim while watching the whales, dolphins, boats and wind-surfers, or chill
out with a glass of chilled Cape wine on one of the comfortable cushioned
loungers while watching the sunset sky over the bay.
The Neptune's Garden Apartment
Warm ambience welcomes you to this lovely three bedroom, two bathroom
(one Jacuzzi bath) spacious garden apartment overlooking the sea and sleeps

This spacious seaview garden apartment, being completely self-contained
is perfect for a family or a group of travelling friends.
It has a very well appointed kitchen / dining area fully equipped with
fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave oven, crockery, cutlery, toaster,
kettle, large eating bar counter etc.open-plan to a sunny, comfortably
furnished family sized lounge with sliding doors open to the exclusive
garden in front.
The spacious fitted main bedroom consists of an oregon double bed and
en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and hand-shower, basin and loo.
The second bedroom has twin 3/4 oregon beds, while the third bedroom contains
single mounted solid oregon bunks beds.
The sparkling clean, tiled, bathroom opposite is fitted with bath and
overhead shower, basin and loo. All bedrooms open to the garden and are

All living rooms have majestic sea views and open directly into the private

All you need to bring are your sun hats and dark glasses. Sip cocktails
while watching the boating activity going on in the bay, the yachts racing
by and the whales calving right below.

How To Get To A Whale of a Time
Head west toward Airport Approach Rd, merge onto Airport Approach Rd then
continue onto Settlers Way. Take the ramp onto Settlers Way / N2.
Take the exit onto M3, entering toll zone in 2.3 km at Exits 8-Rondebosch.
Leaving toll zone in 3.4 km, take the exit toward Steenberg Rd / M42.
Turn left at Steenberg Rd / M42, turn right at Main Rd / M4. At the roundabout,
take the 1st exit and stay on Main Rd / M4. Turn right at Hillside Rd,
make a sharp left at Echo Rd and your destination will be on the left
hand side.
