Nautilus
Lodge is situated in Fish Hoek, South Africa on the Cape Peninsula, with
Cape Town as the main metropolis centre.
The shallow, protected waters of False Bay are ideal for swimming and
water sports, and ultimately for False Bay's more famous visitors, the
Southern Right whales.
These gentle creatures arrive around June to calve and mate and nurse
their young until their departure around November.
A nocturnal sound familiar to guests of Nautilus Lodge is the heavy, echoing
breathing of the whales wallowing close to the protective shores. Nautilus
Lodge offers truly unparalleled views of Fish Hoek beach, Sunny Cove and
the blue expanse of False Bay encircled by the distant Hottentots Holland
Mountains.
Nautilus Lodge lies perched over Jager's Walk - known locally as "The
Cat Walk" - which is a scenic path built right on the rocks at the
water's edge.
A five minute stroll beside the sea will take you from Sunny Cove and
it's tiny railway platform, to Fish Hoek beach and on to the village centre.
Nautilus Lodge Accommodation
Nautilus Lodge offers self-catering apartments which either 1, 2 or 3
bedroomed. The open plan kitchens are fitted with microwave and convection
ovens, three plate hob and fridge / freezer and are stocked with crockery
and cutlery.
Linen is provided and both apartments are serviced daily except on weekends
and public holidays.
Our apartments are equipped with Satellite Television and DVD (Region 2) facilities. A decoder/smart card can be made available at the prevailing Multi choice daily rate where required or for South African citizens you may bring your own decoder / smart card.
Nautilus Lodge offers truly unparalleled views of Fish Hoek beach, Sunny Cove and the blue expanse of False Bay encircled by the distant Hottentots Holland Mountains and the well appointed, sunny lounges lead straight through large sliding doors onto the private balconies fronting the apartments.
