Tranquility Guest House Accommodation

Tranquility Guest House offers luxurious, beautifully appointed accommodation with delicious home-cooked breakfasts.
It has four en-suite bedrooms, each with its own distinctive charm and character, each a haven of hospitality and a sanctuary of rest.

The Mountain View Room:
The large windows of this lovely twin single-bed room overlook the sea and the mountains. Relax on the private deck under the mountain crag, whilst soaking in the afternoon sun, reading a book and listening to the sound of the Cape francolin or the trickling of the water fountain.
Guests can also sit beneath the stars and see if you can identify the Southern Cross. Facilities include en-suite bathroom with a shower, satellite linked DSTV television with separate M-Net channel, WiFi Broadband Internet Access, safe, heater, alarm clock, feather duvets and percale linen. Sea and beautiful mountain views.

The Self-Catering Suite:
This beautiful queen-bed suite offers luxurious comfort and spectacular views of both the sea and the mountains. With its own private entrance and a self-catering kitchenette, this suite is perfect for the couple that intends to stay longer.
Double French doors open onto a veranda that overlooks False Bay, the Constantia Mountains and the Fish Hoek Valley.
Facilities include en-suite has both shower and bath, kitchenette with full size fridge and freezer, 2 plate stove with small oven, microwave and small sink.
Satellite linked DSTV television with separate M-Net channel, WiFi Broadband Internet Access, safe, heater, electric blanket, alarm clock, feather duvet and percale linen.

The Romantic Suite:
This romantic double-bed suite offers magnificent views across False Bay and the Fish Hoek Valley. Open the French doors and walk out onto the private, wooden deck where you can watch whales and ships in the Bay. At night, watch the silver moon rise over an indigo sea whilst lying in a candle-lit bubble bath.
Facilities include full en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, walk-in dressing room, satellite linked DSTV television with separate M-Net channel, WiFi Broadband Internet Access, safe, wall heater, electric blanket, alarm clock, feather duvet and percale line.

The Loft Suite:
This spectacular queen-bed suite is set high up in the heavens with breathtaking, elevated, three hundred and sixty degree views of the sea and the mountains. Open the French doors lie back and soak in the views.
With its own private entrance it is a delightful get away in the sky. This suite has a day bed perfect for an afternoon sleep in the sun or to accommodate one child.
Facilities include full en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, heated towel rails, satellite linked DSTV television with separate M-Net channel, WiFi Broadband Internet Access, safe, wall heater, electric blanket, alarm clock, feather duvet and percale linen, additional single day bed.

How To Get To Tranquility Guest House

From Cape Town International Airport
Take the (N2) - West towards the City and the mountain (approx. 12 km). You will see signposts directing you to Muizenberg / Kirstenbosch Gardens.
Follow them until you bear left onto the M3 (Muizenberg turn-off–South). Continue along the (M3) - until the Tee junction at the end of the freeway (approx. 15,7km).

You will go past the University of Cape Town, Newlands Forest, Claremont, up Wynberg Hill, down past Constantia and then Tokai and finally as you get closer to the mountain you will arrive at the Tee junction.
At this Tee junction, bear left onto the (M42) and then turn right at the traffic lights onto the (M4 South – the Coastal Rd) towards Muizenberg and Lakeside on your way to Fish Hoek, passing through Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay and finally arrive in the main road or high street of Fish Hoek.
At the end of the high street of Fish Hoek you will arrive at a roundabout or circle with directions bearing either left on Simonstown Road to Simonstown (M4)or right on Kommetjie Road to Kommetjie (M65 - West).

Bear right around the circle towards Kommetjie on Kommetjie Road (M65) and continue along Kommetjie Road until you take the 2nd road left into Highway Road.
You will pass the Memorial garden on your left hand side, the Catholic Church on your right hand side, Fish Hoek primary school on your right, the Pool Shop on your right and just after you see the Mcdonald’s sign on your right you will start looking for Highway Road.

You will pass 13th Avenue and signposts to the local Spar just before you turn left into Highway Road. There is a veterinary surgeon on the corner as well as a Christmas tree.
Travel on Highway Rd for 200metres and take the 2nd Berg Rd right climbing up the mountain for approx 400metres. Be careful as the first road right is also Berg Rd.
Pass over Ranger Rd and then turn 2nd road right into Peak Rd around a very sharp corner and travel for a further 200metres.
Tranquility Guest House is on your left hand side (No. 25). There is ample guest parking on the street between the driveway and stairs or you are welcome to attempt our steep driveway and park on the right hand side.
