Welcome to our newest property - Country Cousins on Fairewood Nature Reserve.
An early 1800’s style settler house will offer you a wonderful and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the central city yet only 5km from the Cathedral to the Main Gate.

Country Cousins Fairewood Accommodation

The accommodation, with its own private entrance, consists of one queen sized bedroom, with an adjoining twin bedroom with one private bathroom with bath only (no full shower).
You should even be able to enjoy viewing some of the game from the bedroom window we have on the Nature Reserve.

We do have an extra bedroom that can sleep another 2 guests but this bedroom does not have its own private bathroom (share the guest bathroom).

Breakfast:
This is not a self-catering establishment, like our other properties, so a delicious Continental Breakfast on offer would normally be served in the farmhouse dining room.

Facilities at Country Cousins Fairewood

We have a range of activities on the Nature Reserve for your enjoyment like the use of the reservoir shaped swimming pool, walks in the reserve amongst the animals, swims in any of the 3 farm dams, braai facilities,
TV (only SABC and ETV at this stage), use of the DVD player and provision for DVD rentals.

Free internet, a huge selection of books for your reading pleasure, pool table, mountain biking in the Reserve, game viewing by land rover (additional cost) or just simply relaxing under the huge old trees that surround the house.
Bird viewing is an awesome experience here! You’ll even meet our resident ducks and peacocks.

Attractions and Activities:
Some of the animals we have are zebra, waterbuck, redhartebees, eland, impala, springbok, ostrich and mountain goats.
On Fairewood Nature Reserve we also have a Community Hall with the most amazing view ever that can be hired for functions.

As Fairewood partners with Hobbiton other programmes like team building programmes can often be offered on request. On the Reserve, we also have a kennel facility so you might find it interesting to visit these animals as well!
