This is our VIP Room - the biggest room with a separate terrace, deck chairs and a stunning view on the lake and the Magalies Mountains.
The luxury bathroom, with separate toilet, has a corner bath and an adjustable jet-shower.
For your quiet and relaxed sleep the room is equipped with a king size bed with high quality bed frames with step less adjustment of the back and feet and tempur mattresses.
This room has a surround Hifi system, with DSTV, radio and DVD player.

Ponciana Guesthouse Facilities

Do you like to have a nice, learning and active vacation? Do you like walking? Do you love nature? Doing sports? Do you love the quietness while reading your book? Enjoying plant, animals, culture, history or fancy restaurants?
You will find this all at ‘Ponciana Guesthouse’ located in the small and lovely Ifafi on the border of the Hartbeespoort dam, surrounded by the Magalies Mountains.
It’s not yet mentioned in every travel guide and sometimes you have to look for it on the map, but………we already discovered this place in 2002. It’s paradise! We know this because we have been living there now since January 2007.
Do you still hesitate, take a full tour of our website and you will be convinced.

The house is known in the neighbourhood as ‘the Spanish Villa’ and could be the straight out of film set of a Zorro-movie-scene.
We are located in the residential area of Cannon Crescent and are situated on the top of the hill in Ifafi which give us a magnificent view over the Hartbeespoort dam surrounded by the Magalies Mountains.
Ponciana Guesthouse is a completely new accommodation with 5 newly built Guestrooms.
All our rooms are individually theme in a typical South African style.
So we offer you a stay in ‘the Secret Garden Room’ – ‘the Vineyard Room’ – ‘the Sea View’ – ‘the Wild Bush Suite’ or in the ‘Ponciana Suite’.

The luxury rooms all have a private entrance and en-suite bathrooms with douche, toilet and wash-stands.
Upon your arrival you will find towels in the room. All rooms have direct access to the wonderful garden with borders and flowers. There are also several palm trees which offer the possibility to relax around the swimming pool.

As you can see there is something for everyone – one thing is for sure your time will be too short with us.
Ponciana Guesthouse is situated in the very quiet, residential area of Ifafi.

The Hartbeespoort dam is situated in the Bojanala region of the North West Province. The dam, surrounded by the majestic Magalies Mountains (12O km long and 1852 m in altitude), was constructed in 1923 and the lake is 2062 ha and has 56 km border.
Pretoria is situated 28 km South East and Johannesburg International Airport "O.R.TAMBO" (80 km) is approximately 1 hour drive. Lanseria national Airport is only 30 minutes drive and is the ideal place to continue your travel schedule from Hartbeespoort dam to Cape Town.

We are situated only 1½ hour drive from the Pilanes National Park (Big Five) and Sun City. There are also a lot of tourist attractions around the dam or a short distance away from it.
Some of the National Game Parks are situated not that far from us. The Kruger National Park is between 4-5 hours drive from Hartbeespoort dam
Ronny and Yolande will not only give you all the information you need for day-trips and interesting things to see and to do in the region, but also for the rest of South Africa during your trips after your visit at Ponciana.

Directions to Ponciana Guesthouse:
GPS location : 25°44'50.51"S and 27°53'42.54"E

Coming from Pretoria - Johannesburg.
Take the toll route N4 (Rustenburg) until Pelindaba Station – Hartbeespoort dam Follow the N4 direction Hartbeespoort – Brits.
This route goes up until you get a wonderful view on the top of the Hartbeespoort dam Continue to follow direction Brits until you, see on you left side, Shopping Center Sediba Plaza. Turn off left and at the first turn around you follow to the left.
Continue straight on until, on your right side, you will notice an Exel fuel station. At this crossing turn left into Cannon Crescent. The route then goes up the hill and you will find us, number 68, on the right side.

Coming from Brits
Follow the N4 direction Pretoria. You will pass the dam and goes through the tunnel. Follow the route until you will notice Shopping Center Sediba Plaza on your right side.
Turn off right and at the first turn around you follow to the left. Continue straight on until, on your right side, you will notice an Exel fuel station. At this crossing turn left into Cannon Crescent. The route then goes up the hill and you will find us, number 68, on the right side.
