Loerie Guest Farm is a peaceful country haven
with a laid back atmosphere, where guests can simply kick off their
shoes and wholly unwind next to the swimming pool.
A short drive from Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon,
God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Pilgrims Rest,
the restored gold rush town and home of Jock of the Bushveld.
Loerie Guest Farm is tucked away in the Sabie River Valley amongst
indigenous forests and set in pleasant garden surroundings with
abundant bird life.
Loerie Guest Farm is situated on a working Banana farm in the sub-tropical
Sabie River valley with splendid mountain views, strategically situated
35kms east of Sabie and 17km west of the Kruger National Park, midway
between the spectacular scenery of the great escarpment and the
world-famous game lodges.

Loerie Guest Farm Accommodation
For groups of 6 and more we have Dormitories.
Dormitories must be booked at least two days in advance.
We have two large dormitories - a ladies section and a men section.
The ladies section has three rooms,
a twin room sleeping two people on twin beds with a private bathroom en
suite a small dorm room sleeping 6 people on bunk beds and a larger dorm
room sleeping 24 people on bunk beds.
The lady's section has its own toilets and showers
The men section has four rooms, a twin room sleeping two people on twin
beds with a private bathroom en suite.
Two dorm rooms sleeping 12 people on bunk beds and smaller dorm room sleeping
6 people on bunk beds.
The men’s section has its own toilets and showers.
Bush Cottage
For a more private option we have two Bush Cottages.
The two free-standing cottages are well spaced to give optimal privacy,
peace and security and have private decks overlooking indigenous vegetation
and a small stream and also have a lovely mountain view.
Plenty of opportunity for bird-watching, and you might even see vervet
monkeys, or bushbuck.
Each cottage accommodates two people, in clean crisp linen. Each cottage
has a shower room en-suite and toilet.
Each Cottage is equipped with a fully equipped mini-kitchenette and a
barbeque overlooking the indigenous forest outside. DStv available in
one cottage only SABC channels are activated, but you may bring your own
decoder for more channels.
Rondavel
We have one en suite Rondavel that sleeps two people on single beds.
The Rondavel is quite spacious and cool in summer.
There is a kettle and mugs in the Rondavel.
Guests can make use of the fully equipped communal kitchen.
There is a fridge/refrigerator available in the kitchen.
The Rondavel has a small barbeque area in front of the Rondavel, but guests
can make use of the communal barbeque area close to the swimming pool
area.
There is a communal lounge area available with interesting reading matter.

Self-catering Cottage
We have two fully equipped Self Catering Cottage available.
The fully equipped self catering cottages are set in sub-tropical garden.
Each sleeps four people. Each has two rooms - one room with a double bed
and one with two single beds.
Each has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room.
DStv available - only SABC channels are activated, but you may bring your
own decoder for more channels.
Each Cottage has a separate barbeque place, but a larger communal barbeque
area next to our swimming pool area is also available. For a more private
option we have two Bush Cottages.

Triple Room
We have 1 en suite Triple room that sleeps three people.
It is a neat, clean room with one private entrance to two adjacent rooms
that can sleep three people on single beds and one en suite shower and
toilet.
Guests can make use of our fully equipped communal kitchen.
There is a fridge available in the communal kitchen.
There is a small barbeque area in front of the room.
There is a communal lounge area available with interesting reading matter
no tv.
Twin Room
We also have two en suite Twin Rooms available.
Our Twin Room is basic accommodation.
It is a neat, clean room each with a private entrance that can sleep two
people on single beds and one en suite shower and toilet.
There is a fan in the room.
Guests can make use of our fully equipped communal kitchen.
There is a refrigerator/fridge available in the communal kitchen.
There is a small barbeque area in front of the room.
There is a communal lounge area available with interesting reading matter
no tv.

Directions to Loerie Guest Farm
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST GET ON THE SABIE ROAD AS THE GPS SYSTEMS MIGHT TAKE
YOU ON A GRAVEL ROAD.
DO Not go onto any gravel road.
Directions from Johannesburg via Nelspruit GPS:
S: 25°2’3” E: 31°3’14”
From Johannesburg and Pretoria follow the N4 towards Witbank past Middelburg,
then there is the choice of three scenic routes.
Please note! On both these routes you can expect thick misty fog during
rainy weather and especially in the night on Long Tom Pass.
The route via Sabie is the more scenic route.
Route 1: (Via Sabie)
Turn off from the N4 highway shortly before Belfast onto the R33.
Drive through the town of Belfast and at the last 4-way stop in Belfast
turn right onto the R540 and travel 35 km to Dullstroom, straight through
the town of Dullstroom and another 72 km to Lydenburg.
Drive into the town of Lydenburg until you reach the big 4 way stop (with
the Wimpy Bar on the opposite left) and turn right onto the R37 to travel
56 km over the Long Tom Pass to Sabie.
When you have reached the town Sabie from Long Tom Pass turn right at
the first stop street and then right again at the next stop street onto
the R536.
Travel +/- 35km on the R536 towards Hazyview.
Our entrance is on the right hand side of the road.
Route 2: Take the N12 from Johannesburg to Witbank.
The N12 joins the N4 at Witbank. Go to Nelspruit.
At the first Robot in Nelspruit turn left on the road to Whiteriver (the
R40).
Go straight through Whiteriver, at the last Robot turn left (Still the
R40).
(You will see a brown road sign on the left side showing Panorama route
and a small road sign Hazyview.) Drive straight on this road (the R40
to Phalaborwa) +/- 45km.
Please do not follow the roadsign just outside Whiteriver to Hazyview
.
Stay on the R40 to Phalaborwa.
At the t-junction to Hazyview turn left.
Drive pass Spar on your right; Checkers on your left; Total Garage on
your left. At Perry’s Bridge Trading Post turn left at the 3-way
STOP on the Road to Sabie (R536). + / - 7.5km from the STOP to Loerie
Farm Holidays on your left hand side. There are two entrances, please
take the road on the right hand side.
Directions from the Kruger Park entrance at Phabeni gate: (The Phabeni
gate is the closest gate to Loerie Guest Farm.)
Exit the Kruger Park at Phabeni gate and at the T-junction turn left to
Hazyview.
(Road R536) Follow this road, pass the shops, until you come to a Robot
(about 10km from Phabeni Gate) and then turn to the right on the Phalaborwa
Road (R40).
Pass one Stop sign.
At the next stop sign at Perry’s Bridge Tradin Post, turn left(Road
R536 again) to Sabie.
From this Stop sign 7,2km on your left you will see our entrance on the
left side of the Road.
There are two entrances, please take the entrance on the right and follow
the road to the house on the right hand side.
