where the comfort, care and privacy of our guests, in our 3 self-catering
units is our first priority. |

Elbow's Rest Self Catering Guesthouse has three self-catering units, which are separate from the main house, ensuring privacy for guests and hosts alike. They are spacious, well-furnished and equipped for family comfort. There are twin beds in each of the units.
One unit has a small loft upstairs with two single beds, while there is always an option of an extra bed or couch in the other two units. The small kitchens are well set up and form an integral part of the unit. Each unit opens on to its own private small garden braai patio.
The units also open on to the parking area, which is secure and accessed through an electronic gate. The units are serviced daily and attention to the needs of our guests is always our priority.
The rural climate of Hilton is invigorating, with its warm summers and cool winters a noted feature, while the year round lush green vegetation adds to its reputation of desirability.
In the village itself, there are two shopping centres, which are most adequate for the basic daily needs, while the Maritzburg Liberty Mall will satisfy the most discerning shoppers. Our small restaurants in Hilton are to be commended.
The Midlands Meander starts in Hilton and stretches through to Mooi River and includes attractions such as the Midmar Dam, Umgeni Valley Ranch, Karkloof Canopy Tour plus the Howick and Karkloof Falls. The Drakensberg Resorts are only just over an hour away.
Annual Events which are draw cards to our area are the Midmar Mile, The Dusi Canoe Race on the Umgeni River, the Comrades Marathon, National and Provincial Mountain Biking Competitions as well as the Royal Show and Spring Garden Festival.
