Africa on Foot Reservations: booksa@madbookings.com
Africa on Foot Camp is located in the Klaserie Private Nature
Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger Park.
The reserve shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park
and is west of the Timbavati, covering 60 000 ha on either side
of the Klaserie River.
As there are no fences wildlife roams free between the major reserves
that form the Greater Kruger Park, which include the Klaserie, Timbavati,
Manyeleti, Sabi Sands and the Kruger National Park.
The main area houses a comfortable lounge area with 2 sitting areas
and a library. There is also a boma area with camp fire, perfect
for warming before a morning walk.

How To Get To Africa on Foot
Directions from Johannesburg Airport
From Johannesburg Airport, take the R21S to Boksburg and then
after that head for Witbank on the N12 highway. This highway becomes the
N4, continue on the N4 until you see the Belfast turnoff.
Take the Belfast turn off and head into the little town of Belfast. In
the centre of town you will see a sign post for Dullstroom / Lydenburg,
turn right there and continue on this road for approximately 30kms until
you reach Dullstroom.
Continue straight through the village of Dullstroom and head for Lydenburg,
which is approximately 50kms. You will come to a T Junction.
Turn left there and head into the town of Lydenburg. At the 2nd set of
traffic lights, turn left. This is a ring road that will take you out
of town and onto the R36 towards the village of Ohrigstad.
Once on this road you will head directly for Hoedspruit. Once in Hoedspruit,
continue on straight through the town and go over a small bridge and then
at the 4 way intersection you will turn right onto the R40.
Stop in Hoedspruit and fill up with petrol / gas if you need to as this
is the last stop also draw money here if need you need cash for the Klaserie
Conservation levy, drinks or gratuities.
Head out of town for approximately 6km, turn left at the Timbavati /
Eastgate Airport road. After 300m you will go through a control gate and
then head directly for the Timbavati Game Reserve Gate.
17km later look out for Josmacs Bush Pub on your right hand side and in
front of you now will be the re-building of the new Timbavati Gate.
Right opposite Josmacs and to the left of the building is the turn off
left (dirt road) for the Klaserie Game Reserve and the Incheni Gate. Take
this turn off left and drive straight until you come to the Incheni Gate.
Do not turn off anywhere.
Once at the gate, give the gatekeeper your details, and turn immediately
right and then follow that road with the fence on your right. The road
will fork, and then fence line will end at the same time, turn right at
the fork. Follow this road until you see a signboard for “Ross”.
Turn left here and follow the road until you see a red reflector light
on a tree stump. Turn left here and drive through to camp.
