Kwenga Safari Lodge in the Umhlametsi Private Nature Reserve has 2 non-perennial rivers meandering through the area and draws a diversity of wildlife and birds. The reserve has a number of superb vantage points from which sundowners
are enjoyed with magnificent views of the Drakensberg mountains
and the surrounding bushveld. |

Kwenga Safari Lodge Accommodation
We offer 8 thatched chalets accommodating 16 guests. All the units are spacious and beautifully decorated in African designs.
Each chalet has its own patio and all rooms have ceiling fans and electric lighting. The single unit chalets have big en-suite bathrooms and the double chalets have 2 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms.

How To Get To Kwenga Safari Lodge
N12 from Johannesburg
Join the N4 at Witbank, continue past Middleburg and take the
R33 turn off to Belfast. In Belfast turn right onto the R540 passing through
Dullstroom, continue on to Lydenburg.
You will join the R36 taking you through Orighstad and down the Abel Erasmus
Pass and through the Strydom Tunnel, continue straight on to Hoedspruit
along the R527.
Pass directly through Hoedspruit, over the R40 and follow the sign boards
to Umhlametsi. After turning off on the gravel road, travel for 7 km to
the gate.The Reserve is about 475km from Johannesburg by road.
