Family Chalet
Simbavati River Lodge is a child-friendly safari camp with three Family
Chalets available, each with two separate bedrooms sharing one bathroom.
One of the Family Chalets can accommodate five persons, whilst the other
two Family Chalets can accommodate four persons.
The chalets have double, twin and/or triple bed configurations.
Spacious en-suite bathrooms with separate baths and showers are available.
A double vanity basin and complimentary toiletries are provided.
Additionally, a wardrobe with coat hangers are provided.
All chalets have their own private viewing deck.
Two-point plug converters are also available.

from your own private viewing deck.
Tents are spaced adequately far apart to ensure privacy, and have a twin
bed configuration.
The tents have luxury en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers and double
vanity basins.

Tents include a wardrobe with coat hangers and two-point plug converters.

Directions to Simbavati River Lodge
Getting there by air
There are daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg International Airport
to Hoedspruit Airport and two flights per week from Cape Town International
Airport to Hoedspruit Airport.
Transfers from the airport to the lodge takes approximately 1 hour and
must be booked separately.
Guests flying directly into the private landing strips of the Timbavati
Private Nature Reserve will be picked up by a field guide from the nearby
landing strip.
Getting there by road
Simbavati River Lodge is approximately a 7 hour drive from Johannesburg.
Follow the tar road from the Eastgate Airport/Timbavati turn-off for 44
km straight to the Simbavati turn-off.
(GPRS coordinates for the Simbavati turn-off: S 24° 12’ 20.2”
E 31° 19’ 24.2”).
Turn right onto the dirt road and follow the lion footprints for approximately
6.4 km to the lodge.
On the tar road you will go through 2 control gates.
At the second gate you enter the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve where
you will pay a Vehicle Entrance Fee per vehicle.
Keep your permit, as the Lodge will issue you with an exit permit when
you return again.
