All our self catering cottages offer tasteful furnishings, TV, DVD players, bed linen and towels, pergola covered veranda, barbecue and daily basic cleaning services.
There is also a fridge, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Cooking facilities include a four plate electric / gas stove with an electric oven and a microwave. Most cottages have air-conditioning and some have fireplaces.

#14 PLANE COTTAGE
Fully equipped, semi-detached, double storey self catering cottage. The bedroom is upstairs with TV, queen size bed, air-conditioning, balcony and en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.
Downstairs is the open plan kitchen with washing machine, lounge with air-conditioning, and TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player.
Barbecue facilities are at the back of the cottage and the parking bay in front of the cottage. Situated on the south side of the property closer to the main road, this cottage offers a wonderful view over the resort and the Twelve Apostles Mountains in the west. The tariff is based on occupancy by two people.

#15 KEI APPLE
Fully equipped, double storey, semi-detached, self catering cottage. The bedroom is upstairs and has a queen size bed, air-conditioning, balcony and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.
Downstairs is the open plan kitchen and lounge with air-conditioning, TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player, as well as an extra bathroom with bath, wash basin and toilet.
Situated on the south side of the property closer to the main road, this cottage offers a wonderful view over the resort and the Twelve Apostles Mountains in the west. The tariff is based on occupancy by two people.

#18 WILLOW TREE
Fully equipped, semi-detached, double storey, self catering cottage. Upstairs is the master bedroom with air-conditioning, avante garde open plan bathtub and separate toilet with wash basin.
Downstairs is the second bedroom with air-conditioning, two single beds and en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet. This bedroom has a private entrance with small patio and own barbecue facilities.

The kitchen is open plan with the lounge and dining area. TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player in the lounge.
Barbecue facilities are on the verandah and parking in front of the cottage. Situated on the north side of the property, this cottage has a fantastic view over the valley and the Twelve Apostles Mountains in the west. The tariff is based on occupancy by four people.

#1 OAK
Fully equipped, free standing, double storey self catering cottage offers a master bedroom with queen size bed and air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.
There is a second bathroom with wash basin, toilet and bath. The fully equipped separate kitchen has under floor heating, as well as the dining room which is open plan with the lounge that has a TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player .
This cottage has a fireplace and larger lounge than the other three bedroom cottages, and is regularly booked by smaller parties including couples.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and air-conditioning, and the other with two single beds with air-conditioning, and a separate bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.
This cottage is situated on the north side of the property next to the pool, has parking in front of the cottage, and barbecue facilities on the patio with a magnificent view over the valley, the Twelve Apostles Mountain in the west and Table Mountain on the north boundary. The master bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom with shower, bath, wash basin and toilet.
The fully equipped kitchen has an electric stove and oven, and is open plan with the lounge which has air-conditioning, a fireplace, TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player.

The guest bathroom downstairs has a shower, wash basin and toilet. Barbecue facilities are at the back and parking alongside the cottage.

#27 STRELITZIA
Free standing, single level, self catering cottage set slightly apart from the other cottages. The resort flagship offers four en-suite bedrooms.
Two bedrooms each have a queen size bed, air-conditioning, bathroom with bath, shower, wash basin and toilet. The other two bedrooms each have a queen size bed, air-conditioning, bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet, one of which has facilities for disabled persons.
Features include a spacious granite kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and scullery.

The dining room is separate with access to the patio, and the spacious lounge which is set on a lower level, has a ramp for easy access by disabled people. The lounge has a fireplace, under floor heating, TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player.
Barbecue facilities are on the patio, which can be accessed either from the lounge, the dining room or from the kitchen. Ample parking is provided next to the cottage.
This cottage is situated on the north side of the property below Table Mountain, and has magnificent views down the valley towards the Sentinel peak in Hout Bay, the vineyards, Twelve Apostles Mountains in the west and Constantiaberg to the south. This unit is also ideal for small workshops of 10 to 12 people, as well as small private functions.

How To Get To Houtkapperspoort

From N7 and / or N1
From the N7, about 5km prior to reaching the N1, is the board " N1 City / Stad". Proceed until on top of the bridge, change to the left lane, and do a full circle down towards the N1 (move one lane to your right) and proceed towards Cape Town.
Soon after you will see the board "Cape Town or Kaapstad 10km". Change to the left lane as you will be taking the fly-over towards "Muizenberg / M3".
Continue on the fly-over, and when you join the M5, go to the left lane as soon as you can. Follow the M5 for a short distance.

Don't take the first turnoff (left) towards the N2 or Airport. Proceed to the top of the bridge and then immediately change one lane to your left and do a full circle down towards the N2.
Change one lane to your right going in the direction of Cape Town, go over a bridge (M5), underneath two bridges (close together) and underneath the third bridge the road will split.
Turn to your left (Muizenberg / Kirstenbosch / M3). This will put you onto De Waal Drive, which becomes Rhodes Drive.
The University will be on your right with Rhodes Memorial a bit further on your right as well. Soon after, go over to the right hand lane, and at your first set of traffic lights, turn right (Board=Hout Bay / Kirstenbosch).

Drive past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (on your right), and at the T-junction turn right again. Go uphill (there is a pedestrian crossing at the top on the turn - be careful!), and then downhill through all the turns, past Cecilia Forest (on your right) until you get to the traffic circle (roundabout) at Constantia Nek.

Go around the circle (avoid the first exit), and downhill towards Hout Bay (M63). The entrance to Houtkapperspoort is about 200m down the road, first entrance on your right.
As you enter the premises, please stop at the security boom and they will direct you to the office during office hours, or to your cottage if it is after office hours. Please note that the speed limit is 10kmh on the property.

From Cape Town International Airport
On exiting the airport grounds, follow the Cape Town signs. Drive over the bridge and immediately turn right towards and onto the freeway (N2) which will take you towards Cape Town.
Closer to Cape Town the road will start turning towards Table Mountain. You will drive over a bridge (the M5). Make sure you are in the left lane.
Go over a bridge (M5), underneath two bridges (close together) and underneath the third bridge the road will split. Turn to your left (Muizenberg / Kirstenbosch/ M3).

This will put you onto De Waal Drive, which becomes Rhodes Drive. The University will be on your right with Rhodes Memorial a bit further on your right as well. Soon after, go over to the right hand lane, and at your first set of traffic lights, turn right (Board=Hout Bay/Kirstenbosch).

Drive past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (on your right), and at the T-junction turn right again. Go uphill (there is a pedestrian crossing at the top on the turn - be careful!), and then downhill through all the turns, past Cecilia Forest (on your right) until you get to the traffic circle (roundabout) at Constantia Nek.
