The word Kutali originates from Swahili that means 'far away', which is exactly the impression you get when driving up to Kutali Mountain Lodge, nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain in the picturesque Hout Bay. The lodge offers guests four bedrooms furnished with double beds and three bathrooms. The rooms have private balconies with uninterrupted views of the forest terrain of the mountain slopes. Equipped with satellite TV and a DVD player, it also has a kitchen area as well as a African-style outdoor boma with braai and a swimming pool.

For guests who prefer the self-catering option, a 'welcome pack' consisting of coffee, tea, milk, sugar, bread, fruit, biscuits, bottle of red and white wine, orange juice, still water, flowers, as well as a sufficient supply of toilet paper and soap are provided upon arrival.
The lodge is fully serviced and additional services are available on request. Katuli has a 24-hour manned security boom for your security and privacy as well as 24-hour ADT armed response. Vehicle rentals, shuttle services, organized tours and helicopter trips will be arranged upon request.
Various activities can be done in the area including mountain hikes, horse riding, sunset cruises, sport fishing and birdwatching. The lodge is situated two minutes' from World of Birds, the beach, Hout Bay Harbor with Mariners Wharf and from here a tour to Seal Island can be taken. It is also close to all major shopping centers, Steenberg Golf Estate and the Constantia wine lands. Two hours' away guests can enjoy a safari to Aquila Private Game Reserve and early morning pick up and afternoon drop off at Kutali is provided.
Drinks can be enjoyed around the boma where braais can be held, and the pool area. Meals are catered for on request and the setting is also wonderfully romantic for weddings and intimate enough for other functions.
Katuli Mountain Lodge offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and allows guests to relax while embracing the tranquil setting of the mountain, shoreline and soft dunes that only Hout Bay can offer.
