Amangwane is a small, cosy bush camp set in the heart of the Thongaland community, just outside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A community and business partnership, Amangwane is a 20-bed camp near the gate to Kosi Bay Mouth, and close to the beach and estuary. The 10 reed chalets are basic but cosy – think of it as comfortable camping – each one with twin beds and an en-suite toilet and shower. |

The camp is now eco-friendly with Solar Powered USB units providing both lighting and a charging facility for mobile phones and small cameras for each unit.
Come and experience the pristine landscape and mystifying lake systems stretching along the Northern coast line of Southern Africa. Witness age old traditions as the local tribesmen tend their 700 old tradition of catching fish in Thonga fish traps at the river mouth.
Experience snorkelling amongst a wonderland of fish, swim with the dolphins in nearby Mozambique, spot Africa's Big 5 at Tembe Elephant Park, or venture out on day and night trails to discover areas that are unreachable by normal vehicles.
