The wines of Zevenwacht are distinguished by their classic style and finely crafted elegance. Winemaker Jacques Viljoen honours century-old wine-making traditions, yet is boldly innovative, welcoming the contribution that modern technology makes to the vinification of premier wines.

Covering 120 hectares of the 450 hectare property, the vineyards are ideally situated for the growing of quality grapes. Zevenwacht is characterized by good quality, varied soils and the vineyards have been selectively planted with red and white noble varietals.

Zevenwacht Wine Estate Accommodation

Country Inn
Situated in the heart of Zevenwacht’s picturesque vineyards, the Country Inn offers guests luxuriously appointed, air-conditioned suites, each with its own private terrace and uninterrupted view of Table Bay and False Bay. Facilities include a club house, swimming pool, tennis court and sauna. Close by, is Kuils River Golf Course, where full facilities are available to residents.

Vineyard Cottages
Additional to Zevenwacht’s conference and hospitality venues, are seven beautifully appointed cottages, each with three bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, sharing a charming lounge.

Chalet
Enjoy the view from a self-catering chalet with four en-suite bedrooms, set high on the slopes and surrounded by vineyards.

1 Honeymoon Suite (Deluxe)
12 x Luxury Country Inn Suites with air-conditioning and mini-bars.
7 x Vineyard Cottages with 3 en-suite bedrooms in each (1 double and 2 twin )
1 x Self-catering Chalet with 4 en-suite bedrooms

Facilities and Services:
• The Country Inn and Vineyard Cottage rates include breakfast.
• The Chalet is a self-catering unit
• Rooms are normally ready for occupation by 14h00.
• Guests are kindly requested to vacate rooms by 10h00.
• All Country Inn Suites are air-conditioned and equipped with remote control colour TV, minibar, combination safe and trouser press.
• The Vineyard Cottages are equipped with phone, TV and trouser press.
• The Country Inn supplies ample parking for conference delegates and undercover parking for
in-house guests.
• Transfers are available between the Country Inn and Cape Town International Airport at an additional cost per 2 pax and a surcharge per person extra.
• Accommodation accounts must be settled prior to / or on arrival
• Bookings are recommended for lunch and dinner in the Manor House Restaurant.

• Children between 2 – 12 sharing with parents: rate per child applies.
• Children between 2 – 12 staying single, or sharing with children, in a Country Inn Suites: special rate applies.
• A third child sharing: surcharge applies.

Zevenwacht Restaurant
The tastefully decorated Zevenwacht Restaurant, located within a turn of the 19th Century Cape Dutch Manor House, portrays both finesse and charm. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, the restaurant offers contemporary continental cuisine prepared to perfection. Magnificent views of the tranquil lake and park-like gardens are the perfect accompaniment to a memorable dining experience.

Picnic Baskets
Our delicious range of picnic baskets are served in a paradisiacal setting on tree-shaded lawns sloping down to the lake. Enjoy a tasteful selection of bread and biscuits, cold meats, cheeses, and salads or pre-book a braai basket and cook your own meal over vine wood fires.

The Children's Play Park
A fun-filled play park provides recreation for children and keeps them happily and safely entertained.

THE VINEYARDS
Covering 100 hectares of the 500 hectare property, the vineyards of Zevenwacht are ideally situated for the growing of quality grapes. Extending up the slopes of the Ribbokrant, the south and south-west facing vineyards are protected from the intense heat of summer afternoons by the Bottelary Hills and cooled by the sea breezes “blowing off” nearby Table Bay and False Bay. Characterized by good quality, varied soils, the vineyards have been selectively planted with red and white noble varietals.

CELLAR TOURS
Experience at first hand the artistry and technical skill that transform grapes into fine wine. Visitors are welcome to tour the cellar by appointment.

WINE TASTING
Savour the pleasure of sampling wines on their home ground, within sight of the vines on which they grew and of the cellar in which they were produced and matured. Open seven days a week.

Auditorium
Seating sixty-four delegates, the Auditorium is lavishly equipped with the most advanced technological facilities which include a high quality multi-scan projector, video sourcing capability, audio geometry, recording equipment, video conference and computer facilities capable of interfacing with the international technology of overseas lecturers.

ZEVENWACHT ALFRESCO
The thatched Alfresco is ideal for any occasion. For impressive functions, unforgettable weddings and product launches, the Alfresco provides a well-equipped, versatile venue suitable for 80 to 200 guests.

THE LAPA
Set in a wooded glade above the lake, this outdoor thatched venue provides a charming, yet informal venue for up to 60 guests.
