Gnu Ranch Accommodation

Rock Lodge - 2 Luxury Thatched Units
The lodge has magnificent views and is built from surrounding rocks, each unit has 3 bedrooms opening onto the patio and en-suite bathrooms.
To enhance the tranquil, peaceful atmosphere the lodge offers, each unit is booked for only one group at a time.

There is a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a covered deck with a spectacular view and an intimate rock boma to enjoy the music of the Bushveld nightlife around a cozy fire.
The Rock Lodge accommodates 28 guests and has a deck surrounding the elevated rock pool where sunshine can be enjoyed and where game can be seen as they seek shade under the big Marula and Wild Fig trees.

Tamboti Tree Top Cabin
This private and romantic cabin has 2 bedrooms, a private swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen, intimate fireplace and a deck overlooking a wetland with abundant birdlife.
There is an outside bath, DStv (bring own decorder), the cabin accommodates 6 guests and built in the branches of a huge Tamboti tree ensuring uniqueness.

Tree Top Tent - Luxury Chalet Tent
The tent overlooks the Waterberg mountains, has a king size bed with en-suite bathroom and an outside shower. From here you will experience a crisp sunrise and late afternoon when the game make their way over to the savannah stretched before you to the nearby wetland.
The deck at the front has a gas braai, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a spa bath under the trees and the chalet tent is build on stilts against a steep slope.

Valley Camp - Isolated Spacious Farmhouse
The house has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a lounge with an indoor fireplace, TV and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests are advised to bring their decorder's for full DStv as we have limited channels.
The house is perfect for large groups, guests can relax in the private swimming pool, by fishing or taking a drive around the ranch.
There are 3 bedrooms outside that are available on request and limited firewood is provided.

How To Get To Gnu Ranch

Take the N1 North to Polokwane. At the Kranskop Plaza turn left to Nylstroom / Modimolle and follow the road straight through Nylstroom to Vaalwater.
Proceed straight through Vaalwater to Bulgerivier / Thabazimbi, do not turn right to Lephalale. 69kms from Vaalwater you will find the reception / farmhouse and Gnu Ranch sign on your left.

From Gauteng
Follow the N1 North up to the Kranskop Tollgate, at Kranskop tollgate, turn left to Modimolle (Nylstroom). Don't turn off again rather proceed straight through Modimolle to Vaalwater.
Proceed straight through Vaalwater to Bulgerivier / Thabazimbi, about 68km from Vaalwater, you will find a green signboard on your left (the reception) and rock walls with our name on your right.
Please report to reception on the left of the R510 first.

From Brits and Rustenburg
When entering Thabazimbi turn left at the second stop street to Lephalale. About 33km further, turn right to Lephalale and at the T-junction (37km) turn left to Lephalale.
After 13km you will see rock walls on your right, and a green signboard and thatched house on your left.
