HIKING TRAILS
There are 3 routes to choose from. No matter which route you choose, they
each have a breathtaking beauty of their own.
Route 1
Approximately 4 km. The shortest of the three routes. The route covers
the top part of the Hamerkop kloof and takes about two hours to complete.
Route 2
Approximately 6 km and is recommended for the more experienced hikers.
This beautiful route requires a down climb on a ladder to the Hamerkop
Kloof.
A steep hill amongst indigenous shrubs, trees and a lazy stream accompany
you up a steep trail that takes you back up the top of the hill. In the
rainy season, hikers are greeted with beautiful waterfalls and flora life.
Route 3
Approximately 9 km and the longest route of all. The route twists and
turns up the crest of the Magaliesberg mountain.
Once you have reached the top, you suddenly experience a feeling of "being
on top of the world". A scenic view awaits you while you catch your
breath.
