The unit is not serviced in order that the privacy is maximized but we can arrange for our staff to assist should you feel like total relaxation, prior notice for servicing is essential
The large kitchen / dining room is equipped with a 4 plate gas stove and oven as well as a large fridge / freezer. All the cutlery and crockery provided is of a very high standard and all you should need to bring for your stay us food and beverages. There is sun deck linked to the kitchen where you can sit and relax or enjoy a meal.

The bathroom has been designed in such a way to maximize the stunning views this unit provides. There is a large 2 person shower with windows looking out over the valley or lie in the Victorian Bath and enjoy the same vista. The separate toilet is similarly designed.

The main room has a double bed while the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. Both rooms have large sliding doors looking out over the Buffelspoort Valley and dam.
The sleeping area has a gas heater for the cooler nights and extra blankets and hot water bottles are provided during winter.

The braai area incorporates a small plunge pool which makes the summer days a pleasure in this peaceful part of the farm.
A small quantity of wood is normally provided but more can be supplied in required. There are also hammocks which can be set up to supervise your partners while they do the cooking.

Mamagalie Mountain Lodge Facilities

Relax and unwind with a refreshing drink, then take time to enjoy the majestic views over the Buffelspoort Valley and dam while you cool off in the swimming pool.
Spend the evenings in peaceful elegance, cuddled up to a cosy log fire, or sit around the fire pit and after cooking your meal, enjoy the star studded skies and listen to the nocturnal inhabitants commence their vigil.

An energetic walk to the top of the mountain will give you views you only dream of, and if it is warm enough, take a dip in the pure, sparkling rock pools. The bush is a nature lover's paradise, with numerous species of flora and fauna.

How To Get To Mamagalie Mountain Lodge

From Johannesburg
From Hans Strydom, take the R512 towards Lanseria Airport. At Broedestroom (18km from Lanseria) turn left, and travel 9km to Pecanwood Golf Estate.
1km after the Estate turn right and cross over the dam, on reaching the T-junction turn right and travel 4km to the four way stop.
At the stop turn left, travel on the R104 to Mooinooi for 27km. 800m past the village turn off, take the Barnardsvlei Road left.
(Please give us a call when turning on to Barnard's Vlei Road, so that we can unlock the 2nd gate.) After 2km of tar road it will change to dirt, travel a further 2kms on the dirt road.
There will be number of signs on the left, Mamagalie Lodge, Barnardsvlei Four by Four Trails. Turn left, and after 300m, past through a large green gate. Follow the Mamagalie signs for 3.7km.

From Pretoria
Take the Bakwena N4 toll road from the N1 towards Rustenburg, travel through the Doornpoort and Brits Plaza's and pass the Sun City off ramps and the Shell Ultra on the left.
Approximately 5km from the Magalies Petroport, take the Mooinooi off ramp and turn left towards Mooniooi Village. Travel through 4 stop streets, you will reach a T-junction and turn right.
Travel for 800m past the village turn off, take the Barnardsvlei Road left. (Please give us a call when turning on to Barnard's Vlei Road, so that we can unlock the 2nd gate.)
After 2km of tar road it will change to dirt, travel a further 2kms on the dirt road. There will be number of signs on the left, Mamagalie Lodge, Barnardsvlei Four by Four Trails.
Turn left, and after 300m, past through a large green gate and follow the Mamagalie signs for 3.7km (Please observe speed limits 30 km ph on all farm roads).
