and Kiewiet rondawels the views towards the woodland hill and the surrounding
indigenous trees adds to the secluded atmosphere.
The prolific bird life, and the easy access to the river and hillside

table and comfortable chairs next to an inviting fireplace.
Fully-equipped kitchens are separate from the bedroom / living room and
the natural rock-built bathrooms have showers only.

Suitable for a couple or group of up to four (sleeps 2 - 4). Hoephoep
is a spacious very private cottage nestled against the foot of the hill
close to the river walks.
The dense forest behind it can be viewed through large windows from the
lounge, bathroom and bedroom. Lovely veld grass and flowers decorates
the meadow in front of the cottage in summer.
The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed, (or 2 single beds) and airy
french doors onto the veranda. More french doors open from the open plan
living room / kitchen / dining room to the patio and braai area.
2 extra single beds are on stand-by for extra guests sleeping in the lounge.
Bird watching can be done from the bath, as the romantic cement bath for
two is right against the window with a magical view of the forest.
The shower is over the bath. For the sake of privacy, the bathroom is
off the passage, with doors closing off both the bedroom and living room.
The cottages on the hill with panoramic views are only

for that romantic or undisturbed weekend away.
Akasia Cottage (on hill)
Both ideal for a couple or two friends sharing (each sleeps 2). To take
advantage of the magnificent views from the hill, we couldn’t resist
building more cottages.

bedroom has a romantic king-size bed, (or two single beds for friend/family
sharing).
2 more single beds can be prepared in the open plan lounge. For the sake
of privacy, the bathroom is off the passage with doors closing on both

the bath. A candelabrum with candles is supplied for even more atmosphere
in the bathroom.

open on to the charming veranda with pillars built from the natural rock
found right at the spot. The views from the veranda are quite breathtaking.
