The name 'Baobab' refers to an extraordinary tree which is mainly found in the drier parts of Limpopo Province (South Africa). It has a very large trunk and looks as if it has been planted upside down. Baobab is situated 220km from Johannesburg and 180km north of Pretoria in the area Sterkrivier, in the Waterberg District.

Our tranquil setting ensures all enjoy the break! We try to provide the ideal setting where families and friends can breakaway from the concrete jungle and relax in a picturesque environment that provides something new everyday.
Sitting around the boma fire at night listening to the night owls and the jackals is special, not to mention the fish-eagle cry from the river that dissects the property.

We do not only cater for hunters but for breakaways as well. Whilst hunting is happening, the young ones can safely ride the quads / bikes on the property across the road on the tracks and river area provided.
- Two chalets that accommodate 4 people per chalet and one chalet that sleeps 2 people.
- Each 4-sleeper chalet has 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed and other with 2 three-quarter beds.
- Main bedroom has full en-suite bathroom.
- Secondary room has bathroom with shower.
- Two-sleeper chalet has a queen size bed with en suite bathroom (shower only).
- Air conditioners in all bedrooms.
- Towels and bedding provided.
- Amenities provided: Conditioning shampoo, soap, shower gel, shower cap and body lotion.

How To Get To Baobab Game Ranch

From Johannesburg
Take the N1 North towards Polokwane (Pietersburg), after the 3rd tollgate take
the Mookgopong R101 (Naboomspruit) off ramp. The road (R101) will take you through Mookgopong (Naboomspruit).
After exiting Mookgopong (Naboomspruit) travel on the R101 for 33km until the Sterkrivier turnoff to the left is reached. Turn left at the Sterkrivier / Doorndraaidam road.

Travel for 17.4kms, the gate to the farm is on the right hand side, 300 meters pass the Doorndraai Dam gravel road turnoff. Once inside the farm area, follow the signs to the camp. The Sterkrivier turnoff is located 18kms from Mokopane (Potgietersrus) travelling towards Mookgopong (Naboomspruit) on the R101 (alternate route to the N1).
