Highview Lodge is situated high up against the ridge in Mossel Bay on the Garden Route of South Africa, a town which has recently been voted as one of the most popular holiday and tourism destinations in our beautiful country.

Highview Lodge offers luxury accommodation (Portfolio Collection accredited and TGCSA 4-STAR grading), in a unique combination of self-catering suites and full guesthouse services.

Highview Lodge Accommodation

The Main Guesthouse which is on the upper floor, has 3 en-suite double bedrooms, a TV / Lounge, a dining room leading out on to an open sundeck with a built-in braai and a fully equipped kitchen.

The Highview Room is decorated with yellow-wood and leather and has a sliding door leading onto a private balcony with panoramic north-facing views of the bay, the harbour and Outeniqua mountains on the horizon.
The Lavender Room is decorated in a lavender pots theme and yellow-wood and has an east-facing view of the bay and coastline with mountains in the background.
The Butterflies Room is decorated in a butterflies theme and yellow-wood and is our most spacious room, but is the only room without a beautiful view.

Our guests in the Main Guesthouse have at-level access from the parking area at the back and do not have to climb the two flights of stairs.
2 Family Suites are situated on the first-floor level, also have superb north-facing bay harbour and mountain views, and each has a TV / Lounge, with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area, leading onto a [small] balcony with a built-in braai, a double en-suite bedroom and a further [compact] bedroom with bunk-beds for the juniors.

2 Studios are situated on the ground level, in a small secluded and secure mini-garden and private entrance; each has twin beds, built-in cupboards, television, a fully equipped kitchenette, separate bathroom with a shower and an outside braai area.
Both have beautiful views and are ideal for couples wanting privacy and self-catering facilities. All bedrooms have a TV [six channels], a bar-fridge, spacious built-in cupboards, lock-up safes, hairdryers and radio-clocks. All bathrooms, except the studios, have baths with over-head showers and glass shower-screens.

At Highview Lodge we invite you to unpack your bags for an extended stay, while you explore what our town has to offer, such as watching the whales or the great white sharks in season, golfing, fishing, and / or visiting our most interesting museums and other historic and archaeological sites.

You can explore the entire Garden Route and Klein Karoo, see the Cango Caves and ostrich farms at Oudtshoorn, the Heads at Knysna, go for game drives and see most of the African wildlife, ride on the famous Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam-train, or simply relax and enjoy our wonderful climate and beautiful white beaches.

How To Get To Highview Lodge

Arriving in town centre via N2 from direction Cape Town or George, turn right into Church Street and left into Montagu street, then right into Bayview Street, proceed up the steep incline to the T-junction with Rodger Street, turn left. We are 200m further on the right.
