Fernwood Manor is a five star boutique guest house positioned in the heart of Upper Newlands (bordering on Bishopscourt and Kirstenbosch) minutes from Kirstenbosch Gardens, UCT, Newlands Cricket/Rugby Stadium, Vineyard Hotel, Cavendish Square and Constantia Village.

Fernwood Manor Accommodation

Superior Luxury is revealed at every turn of our spacious bedrooms with their own unique rich classic contemporary warm character. The individually designed and decorated rooms are sun-drenched sanctuaries, most with private balcony or covered patios overlooking the pool, garden with wonderful mountain views.

The Boutique Guest House luxurious rooms boast beautifully equipped full heated en suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, and heated towel rails and all the necessary complimentary toiletries. King or Twin beds dressed in percale linen, fans, underfloor heating, satellite TV, fully stocked bar fridge, safe, ADSL internet access and telephone access.

The Suites consists of the following:
THE ALMOND SUITE:
The Almond / Honeymoon Suite is situated on the first floor of the Manor House and is ideal for long stays. The French Doors reveal an extensive wrap around private balcony with table , chairs and sunlounger with wonderful mountain views.
This extra large Superior Luxury Suite,very elegantly decorated with extra length King bed, comfortable couches with private dressing room leading into a modern equipped bathroom with his and her bath, glass and dark wood vanity and large private glass shower.

GARDEN / POOL SUITES:
The Suites open onto private covered patios overlooking the large swimming pool and landscaped garden. They have their own private entrance.
Superior Luxury Double Rooms very elegantly decorated with King or Twin Beds (on request) looking straight up to the mountain boast beautifully equipped full heated en suite bathrooms with separate bath and glass showers.

FAMILY WING:

Your own private passage leads you to:
One Superior Luxury Double very elegantly decorated with Queen Bed opening onto a private balcony with a mountain view. Boast very large beautifully equipped full heated en-suite bathroom with square double bath, walk in glass shower and glass vanity.
One luxury Double Room very elegantly decorated with Queen or Twin Beds (on request) with walk in glass shower en-suite.
The Room is used on a regular basis for Single Bookings.

Fernwood Manor Facilities:
Each of the spacious bedrooms has its own unique character. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower with exception of the Family Wing.
We prepare wonderful country breakfasts which are served in the delightfully decorated French provincial breakfast room / kitchen.
French Provencial Breakfast Room – this elegant furnished French Kitchen and breakfast room renowned for its wonderful breakfasts overlooks the swimming pool and landscaped garden abundant with bird life. On lovely summer mornings breakfast is also served on our covered patio adjoining the breakfast room.
Guest Lounge – the large comfortably furnished Guest Lounge with it’s cosy fire place, opens onto very large covered patio, where you will find many a guest spend time relaxing on the outdoor furniture, enjoying the Honesty Bar all of which overlooking the large swimming pool and landscaped garden.
Study / Library – which works as our reception and work station for the guests filled with many good books and magazines.
Boardroom – available for board meetings or small conferences.
