Hedge House is a 4 star graded guest house located in a peaceful pocket of Newlands, Sunnybrae and is conveniently situated for both business and holiday travelers. Families are very welcome. Having been in the guesthouse industry for 14 years, Hedge House was started in 2002 when a three bedroom family home was transformed into a thriving five bedroom guesthouse. Hedge House is located in a peaceful pocket of Newlands, Sunnybrae. We are within walking distance of Claremont (Cavendish Square), the Newlands Rugby & Cricket stadiums, and the Sports Science Institute. We are in easy reach of the Waterfront, beaches and Cape Town airport.

Hedge House Accommodation

The guest house consists of four en-suite rooms, all with separate entrances and full bathrooms.
The rooms are comfortably furnished with luxury beds and quality fabrics.
Each room is fitted with a fridge, microwave and kettle and stocked with basic provisions to make tea and coffee. Home-baked biscuits and rusks are always in-hand!

- Our five rooms, each with separate entrance, are comfortably furnished with luxury finishes. Wireless internet connection in all rooms.
- Accommodation is self contained in that the rooms have a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, and are stocked with basic provisions.
- Breakfast, with homemade fare, is served outside, in the dining room or in your room - whichever you prefer. Dinners are served on request.
- In the garden, which has beautiful mountain views, is a salt water heated pool, trampoline and a swing.
Families with children are very welcome.
- Secure off street parking is provided and airport transfers are available on request.
- One wheelchair-friendly suite.

DSTV and wireless ADSL is available in all rooms.

Being ‘foodies’, Judy and her staff pride themselves in preparing homemade fare on a daily basis and are regularly asked for their recipes!
Breakfast is served outside, in your room or in the dining room, whichever you prefer. Evening meals are served by prior arrangement.

The garden has un-interrupted mountain views as does our upstairs room. The salt-water pool is heated. There is a trampoline and swing for children. Off-street parking is behind remote controlled gates.

Directions to Hedge House:
From the airport travel on the N2 towards the city.
Take Exit 8 – Liesbeek Parkway
At the bottom of the offramp turn left to Rondebosch
Travel 3.5 kms.
When you see the traffic lights, one road before, turn left into Argyle Road. We are No 12 on the RHS.
