We can accommodate 10 people in total. All units open onto a shared cemented courtyard, with each unit having its own private braai/barbecue area. Our rates are affordable and include linen, towels & tea/coffee facilities. We are situated in Oudtshoorn’s town centre; walking distance from shops & renowned restaurants; ideal for business trips, sporting events and travelers exploring the area. The major tourist attractions & facilities, such as the Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch, Ostrich Show Farms and Wilgewandel Holiday Farm are within a radius of 30km from our premises. Parking takes place on the premises, behind a locked gate, in front of the flats.

Oudtshoorn Overnight Accommodation

Unit 1:
Sleep 2 people (not a twin room)
- Open plan unit with a double bed.
- The kitchen is fully equipped (two plate stove, fridge, microwave etc.).
- Bathroom consists of a bath, basin & toilet.
- Linen & towels are included in price.
- Television in unit (SABC 1,2 & 3)
- This unit does not have a air-conditioner, but a fan.
- Own out door barbeque facility – grid included (bring own fire wood)

Unit 2:
Sleep 4
- Note that there are only 3 beds, not 4
- The unit only has 1 bedroom with a double bed
- Open plan kitchen / living room
- Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, fridge & built in stove etc.
- Living room has a sleeper couch and 2 single beds.
- Bathroom has a shower, basin & toilet.
- Linen & towels are included in the price.
- Television in unit ( SABC 1,2 & 3 )
- Air-conditioned unit.
- Own out door barbeque facility – grid included (bring own fire wood)

Unit 3:
Sleep 4
- Note that there are only 3 beds, not 4
-The unit only has 1 bedroom with a double bed
- Open plan kitchen / living room
- Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, fridge & built in stove etc.
- Living room has a bunker bed (2 beds on top of each other).
- Bathroom has a shower, basin & toilet.
- Linen & towels are included in the price.
- Television in unit ( SABC 1,2 & 3 )
- Air-conditioned unit
- Own out door barbeque facility – grid included (bring own fire wood)

Oudtshoorn – main activities in one day:
Cango Caves:
- Start at the Cango Caves at 09:00 (for the standard tour) or 09:30 (for the adventure tour)
- It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the Cango Caves, so you should try to depart from Oudtshoorn about 08:15.
- It is a scenic tar road through the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains with a lot of curves and bends.
- You can give yourself about 90 minutes duration for the adventure tour and 60 minutes for the standard tour. (Keep in mind that they have a curio shop and restaurant as well – so you can give yourself about an hour for site-seeing at the Cango Caves).
- Health Problems Adventure tour - not suitable for people with claustrophobia or those who suffer from back ailments, high blood pressure or pregnant women.

Wilgewandel Holiday Farm.
Wilgewandel Holiday Farm:
- Camel rides: We have seven very friendly and well-trained dromedary camels that can't wait to offer you a ride. Their names are: Joshua, Moses, Vossie, Abraham, Nelson, Thabo and Josef.
- 18 hole Ghwarra-Ghwarra Golf:
Fun and entertaining putt-putt for young and old alike.
- Donkey cart rides:
This traditional way of transportation is a lot of fun.
- Foefie slide:
100 metres long and 6 metres high across our farm dam (zip line).
- Farm atmosphere:
We pride ourselves on creating a healthy farm atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air.
- Animals to feed:
In true farm style we have a variety of farm animals to feed. These include rabbits, a pig, billy goats, donkey, ostriches and sheep. (Touch farm).
- Bumper boats:
This is a very nice and safe activity to do with your kids. Or have a drink on the veranda while you watch them have a go at each other.
- Curios and gifts to buy:
Our curio shop has a large variety of local wines, homemade goodies, gifts and curios. Cold drinks, ice-cream, sweets, biltong, and lots of special gifts are available.
- Hiking trails:
For the more energetic we've got a 30-60 minute hiking trail.

We have a well appointed, fully licensed family restaurant where you can enjoy home cooked meals at affordable prices.

Cango Ostrich Show Farm:
The farm is privately owned and managed. The farm environment is visitor- & disabled friendly and easily accessible. Exciting guided tours - 45 minutes duration, daily from 09H00 till 17H00. Touch, feel, sit on or even ride these magnificent birds.

What you will experience:
- the eggs, incubators and chicks (in season)
- to hug and kiss our super friendly female - Betsie
- to feed the ostriches by hand
- to sit on the ostriches
- and for the daring type, ride the ostriches (weight limit 75kg) and to stand on the eggs (the ultimate weight test).

AN OSTRICH EGG IS EQUIVALENT TO 24 CHICKEN EGGS:
During your visit experience the world's largest bird which lays the largest egg, has the most beautiful feathers and eyes that make you want to fall in love and hug them.
At Highgate you can enjoy riding the birds at your own risk, stand on their eggs, touch the birds and cuddle the chicks all in approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Professional multilingual guides take you on a conducted tour where you will learn about the birds, experience laughter & beauty situated in a valley surrounded by thousands of ostriches and majestic mountains.
We cater for disabled visitors.

Cango Wildlife Ranch:
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE RANCH
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your guide who will inform you of when your tour will start.
During your wait (which will not be more than half an hour ) you can view our snake park, lorikeet aviary, wallaby walkabout, kids zone, visit any one of our curio shops or have a bit to eat at one of our restaurants.

Your guided tour will take you through the Valley of Ancients with its variety of animals and reptiles then off to Cheetah land where you will meet our big cats.
A tour will last anything from 45 – 60 minutes. We recommend visitors set aside at least 2 hours to experience everything we have to offer.
After your tour you are welcome to walk around and perhaps re-visit some of the enclosures for extra pictures.

Directions:
You will be entering by means of Voortrekker Road. At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Adderley Street. Cross 2 4-way stops and keep on driving until you get AVBOB & Ellis Motors on the right. Between AVBOB & Ellis Motors turn right into Kloof Street(one way street). You will see Oudtshoorn Overnight on the right.
From Cape Town:
You will be entering by means of Voortrekker Road. At the fifth set of traffic lights turn left into Adderley Street. Cross 2 4-way stops and keep on driving until you get AVBOB & Ellis Motors on the right. Between AVBOB & Ellis Motors turn right into Kloof Street(one way street). You will see Oudtshoorn Overnight on the right.
From PE & GEORGE:
You will be entering by means of Langenhoven Road. Drive until you get to the first traffic light - this is Voortrekker road. Turn right into Voortrekker Road.
At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Adderley Street.
Cross 2 4-way stops and keep on driving until you get AVBOB & Ellis Motors on the right.
Between AVBOB & Ellis Motors turn right into Kloof Street(one way street). You will see Oudtshoorn Overnight on the right.
