Ala Mossel is a Cosy cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, inside fireplace/braai, and outside braai, upstairs patio with lovely views Visitors to Paternoster delight in watching whales and dolphins frolicking in the ocean and, after the first spring rains fall, the landscape is transformed by indigenous flowers that densely carpet the earth in bright bursts of colour.
Paternoster is home to over 250 species of birds.
Activities and attractions include Beach Buggy trips along the coastline, long walks on the beaches, fishing, cray fishing, diving and spear fishing excursions, hiking, mountain biking and sea kayaking.

Directions to Ala Mossel
From Cape Town, travel north from Blouberg on the R27, turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster.
The entire trip is approximately 140 km.
From Cape Town International Airport, travel towards Cape Town on the N2, take the N7 Malmesbury/Goodwood turn-off Vanguard Drive and turn right towards Malmesbury.
Travel north on the N7 and turn left at the Melkbosstrand turn-off.
Continue to the R27.
Turn right onto the R27 and travel north, past Yzerfontein and Langebaan until you get to the Vredenburg turn-off. Turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster.
The entire trip is approximately 155 km.
In Paternoster, when entering Paternoster, turn left at the four-way stop.
Continue with this road past the Hotel and Lodge on the left, past a few fishermen’s houses, past the church and school on the left.
The office is situated next to the school at Blikkie, a green corrugated iron fisherman’s cottage, right next to the school, at 32 St Augustine Road. GPS Co-ordinates: 32° 48' 09.94"S - 17° 53' 09.94"E.
