Carpe Diem is a spacious family home which is ideal for two families. The house offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an enclosed courtyard. A pizza oven and outside barbecue offers great culinary opportunities. The house is situated 30 m from the beach.
Paternoster is a charming town with traditional fisherman’s architecture and unending white beaches. The warning sound of the foghorn when the mist enters the bay sets a perfect romantic atmosphere for any couple.

The restaurants here specialize in mouth-watering seafood dishes and the area is bursting with ocean activities. Enthusiasts can surf, snorkel, scuba dive, windsurf, kayak and enjoy relaxing walks on the beach.
During the months of July to December, whale and dolphin watching is certain and August to October is flower season. Columbine Nature Reserve is 8 km from the village, or guests can visit the West Coast Fossil Park, West Coast National Park and the Berg River Estuary for a day’s outing.

Directions to Carpe Diem
From Cape Town, travel north from Bloubergstrand on the R27.
Turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster.
The entire trip is approximately 140 km.
From Cape Town International Airport, travel towards Cape Town on the N2, take the N7/Malmesbury/Goodwood/Vanguard Drive turn-off and turn right towards Malmesbury.
Travel north on the N7 and turn left at the Melkbosstrand turn-off. Continue to the R27.
Turn right onto the R27 and travel north, past Yzerfontein and Langebaan until you get to the Vredenburg turn-off.
Turn left at the Vredenburg turn-off and travel through Vredenburg to Paternoster.
The entire trip is approximately 155 km. When entering Paternoster, turn left at the four-way stop street.
Continue past the hotel and lodge on the left, past a few fishermen’s houses, the church and the school on the left.
The office is situated at number 32 St Augustine Road, next to the school at Blikkie, which is a green corrugated iron fisherman’s cottage
