Starry Nights Karoo Cottages has just been renovated original Oregon floors and doors. There are four cottages available with one bedroom; two bedrooms or three bedrooms. Philippolis is on the old national road, R717, between Colesberg and Trompsburg. It is an ideal stop over, 630 km from Johannesburg, 800 km from Cape Town, and 470 km from Port Elizabeth. The deviation off the N1 highway from Colesberg to Trompsburg is in fact 7 km shorter than the actual N1 and without trucks. Philippolis is also a lovely village for those who want to escape
from the city for a few days. Enjoy silence, closeness to nature,
stargazing, bird watching, no traffic, old fashioned tranquility
and friendliness. |

Directions to Starry Night Karoo Cottages
From Bloemfontein travel 120 km on the N1 highway. Take the R717 at Trompsburg,
then travel 60 km to Philippolis. Philippolis is also 60 km on the road
to Colesberg.
From Cape Town: turn left at NG Church. From Bloemfontein: turn right
at NG Church 50m to Starry Nights Karoo Cottages.
