Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge overlooks a scenic amphitheatre in the south-western portion of the 57,250ha, Big 5, and malaria free Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
Being positioned in an exclusive use zone, the lodge offers game activities in a private section of the reserve, while also offering access to all the reserve’s public roads.

The great expanse of the untouched Wilderness Area lies a few hundred metres to the north of the lodge, and provides our guests with the great opportunity to explore this pristine environment on foot.
The featured architecture and interior design are the hallmark of the whole lodge, and flawless finishes leave no detail overlooked.

The magnificent main lodge provides all the necessary facilities and amenities in a stylish atmosphere and picturesque setting. It acts as a central gathering point and social environment for all guests as well as the point from which all the activities depart and return.
The design feature accommodates 13 family suites (136m²) and 4 spacious executive suites (86m²) situated adjacent a magnificent main lodge.

The family suites offer two en-suite master bedrooms with a shared lounge and patio. The family suites can also be configured in such a way as to offer a luxury suite option as well as a standard room option.
The executive suites offer one en-suite master bedroom with a lounge and patio. In addition, guests can savour an indoor steam shower and double outdoor shower.

The accommodation at the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge in the Pilanesberg National Park nestles around the magnificent main lodge, which is accessed by both road and foot-paths.
The placement and design of each suite ensures privacy and uninterrupted views. Each suite offers the highest quality equipment with plasma screen TV, Satellite Television and a mini-business centre.

Upon arrival at the private entrance gate of the lodge, guests park their vehicle in the secure guest parking, and then proceed by game viewing vehicle to the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge.
The main lodge at the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge provides all the necessary facilities and amenities to make a holiday relaxing, adventurous and unforgettable.

A restaurant, bar, wine cellar, lounge, internet station, swimming pool and deck, and a boma are available to guests. Highest quality equipment with plasma screen TVs and a mini-business centre in every suite as well as a kitchenette is available in every suite for guests to prepare light meals.

The gourmet restaurant and outdoor boma serve the most delectable cuisines. A casual lounge and cigar bar, and a spacious open and covered entertainment deck overlook the spectacular rim-flow swimming pool at the lodge.

Conferences
The Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge’s conference centre is fully equipped to ensure that conferences, functions and events are handled seamlessly. The seating layout provides for a maximum of 70 delegates. The small business centre caters for all telecommunication needs.

How To Get To Shepherds Tree Game Lodge

The recommended route from Johannesburg or Pretoria follows the N4 west before turning north onto the R556, while following the PILANESBERG signs. Continue past the Sun City entrance and the Bakubung Gate turn-off, and proceed along the road for 12km to the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge entrance.
